  1. Dear Leader on North Korea Announces 3rd Nuclear Test, Anti-US Aims · · Score: 1

I have to ask......am I the only one that, when I see the "Dear Leaders" picture, hears Tommy Chong say "hey man, who cut your hair?"

  2. Re:Autonomy, mastery, purpose on Ask Slashdot: Best Incentives For IT Workers? · · Score: 1

Why is this only a 2 ?!?! I've been in IT (mainframe computer programming for 15 years, networking / system administration another 15) and this "autonomy, mastery, purpose" sound nice...if one is new to the BS world of business. A-L-L IT people are good for (in the eyes of the MBA's) is being servants. Hell - my own boss, as well as others before, equate my work as "serving others'!! Sorry, M-O-N-EY......period!!

  3. Nuclear workers on Heroism Is Part of a Nuclear Worker's Job · · Score: 1

To those that support nuclear power - thank you. To those that buy into the media hype - let me says this, the media is blowing ignorance and BS up your backside.
As someone with 14 yrs. of experience in building and running plants, it's a great environment to work in. And, as you see in Japan, those who work there love it. I'd go back tomorrow if the US got off it's ignorant backside / stopped listening to the NIMBY-ites, and start building more. Another point not discussed here is the impact of the different types of "radiation" nor the level of impact on an individuals age. SirVirtual

"Safety is the tool of the Tyrant, no one can be against safety". I tell my children to be ready, maybe not today and maybe not tomorrow but someday the bullets will start flying again, as they did when this country began. It's only a matter of enough people missing enough meals and enough people not having a place to sleep safely. Those that want to "protect" us, from others as well as ourselves, have themselves become paranoid tyrants.

"Winning the war is all they care about and in some cases they don't even care about that...." The drug war is a perfect example. The SAY they want to win but don't really care because if they DO win or make MJ legal, look at all the govm't employees that will be out of work. The US gov makes war because it helps corporations make money - that simple!

compulsory national service? No - no - no and again NO! Service for a country is full of people that cry and moan about taxes yet doesn't have a problem with a political system "of the rich, by the rich and FOR the rich"? A country that makes me pee in a bottle to keep my livelihood? A country that protects greedy CEO bastards? Not my sons!! Come and try to get them, I'll show you the second amendment. I support the young men and women that put their life on the line but if we had an HONEST government (run with a common sense), they wouldn't be there. We have Raygun Ronnie Retard to thank for the mess in that country.
