My original game boy had the plastic screen protector fall out but that didn't stop it from working. The gaming experience was actually improved as there wasn't a scratched plastic cover over the LCD obstructing the view.
get a few extra clients. lock permissions down with a GPO at the machine level and try to install software and expect it to work properly.
mess your local DNS up and install some software like a proxy.
install a windows box and dont patch up and put it in the DMZ and then once its good an infected you will have lots of traffic to track down
fact of the matter is. If you know what your doing your network isn't going to be that bad. I talk to people all day at the enterprise level and see issues that can be nobody but the admin or network admins fault but have no clue as to what they are doing.
You just deployed a product to your whole network with out testing? Now you bitch about issues you are bumping into? Do you buy a car with out testdriving it?
TEST TEST TEST! if you had done any testing before hand or research you could hae found information of these problems perhaps taken preventivtive measures against some of the problems you are seeing.
All AV software causese a performance hit and my understanding is this software is also now taking out adware, spyware etc regkeys and all in nearlyone motion. I also belive the min reqirements are 128MB ram which means its not accounting for RAM being used by office, SQL, etc, that is for windows and SAV10 alone. So if you are just sporting 128,256, or 384 meg of ram on a machine I would expect to see a performance hit.
They sell backlights, inverts, and such for many monitors. I'm getting a 19inch LCD for about 60bucks because of them. I'm just paying for the backlighting replacement.
I currently work for a good sized international company. Everyone here also has admin access to their machines. Most of us know what we are doing the ones who don't ask the people who do or IT
They do audit for "forbidden" software and use a 3rd party patch system to push updates for windows and other software.
If users are breaking their boxes frequently they need more todo.
A coupel NYU students did this with a mini-itx and 802.11B it in last months issue of wired. it also allowed people to add tracks via the net/802.11b and runs linux.
But this thing is great. It plays everything that I have and then some. and it is linux and OS X friendly.
I'm not 100% sure but I've had to use the wired PS2 controller for it not the dvd remote. But the ps2 here has built in IR and did not come with a remote but the sony DVD remote works on it for DVDs...
If your PS2 is already networked you can find the software for less than 50.
I've had a few 1st mp3s because i was apt to dump the contents of my HD from time to time because i a) fucked up windows 98 or b) felt like it. c) got a new system or a large upgrade...
one of those times it was Styx's Dr Roboto.
I think the first before those times was either Creep by radio head or Jump right in by the urge.
I remember using scour to find mp3s long befor napster or audio galxey. I was among the last of my friends to hop on the 1st napster bandwagon and it was on its way out soon after I jumped on.
Setting expectations before starting in on the work is what you most likely needed todo to get paid.
Yeah, i can fix that for [insert price here] Yeah, i can restore those photos for [insert price here]
now if price is a flat rate or a perhour thing with a cap on it thats up to you.
Don't let them think they are getting something for free then expect payment. If you are going to do that just don't hand over the Images, restored data, fixed computer, etc....
When i was building my 1st computer. My 1st processor didn't work. and the company who sold it wouldn't take it back for some stupid reason. So I kicked it around on the ground, kept it in my pocket, combed my hair with it, threw it around, played catch with it... Then I had pcoessor die and was desprate for something. So i stragtened the pins out on my p166 w/mmx and wholy crap it worked after all the abuse and sitting unprotected in the bottom of a bin for several months.
Ad blocking can be turned off in 2k4 aswell and can be disabled on a site to site basis. Norton Internet Secuirty is very configurable its just a matter of knowing where to go. Check the options section...
Some worms are still quite impressive. although not often a few are. Such as the slammer worm which was all of one packet and infected nearly if not all vunerable host in about 15min. Someone spent some time on that one. not that i dissagree with you i just thought i toss my 2c in.
Thats all? that is a nice chunk of change but why not go for something with a B in it when going up a agains a giant such as MS who is worth several Billion.

you could always hire a consultant.
Don't break it if it's not broken.

setup a cron job to post the IP to a ftp/web site every so often. then just check the ftp/web site when you need the ip.
I've done that for just keeping track of computers with static ips.
look it up. you can stream to winamp with it. and other mp3 players too I'm sure. just make a play list and paly.
Mini is the brand apprently did you read the site? who cares anyways. at least its the brand that it is now and what we recognize it here state side.
The PS2 here is hardwired.

Absolute log analyzer. exports to excel and many other things. Pro version is $250 but looks to be quite flexible.

Many people are just to damn lazy to read and or too damn stupid to follow directions. at least in my experince.
Yes you have
Can we see?
Just picked up a V2 PS2 (the ones with the onboard IR and suposed a bit more silent, right?) it plays fine with composite videou output...(RBY)

Lexar has a usb 2.0 jumpdrive that has a sustained read of 6mb per second and write at 4.5 seconds higher than many others I've seen.
I will be getting one of these once I get paid again.
Can I have it?
