What we need are rule in place that if you are applying for H1B Visa workers, you have to prove you have done qualified job search for the positions and found NO workers to fill them. Make the Corporations prove they actually need the workers before issuing a single H1B visa. Right now, they just say it, and it is so.
The problem isn't H1B visas, the problem is that we have record unemployment and are still importing workers from outside to take the jobs of those workers still trying to earn a living.
If it turns out that Ms. Cordray donates heavily to charities that help the poor, for example, that might be considered a libelous statement of fact.
Nope. Donating to the poor could simply be a means to court favor in public opinion. I can fully defend my previous claim "who cares nothing for her fellow humans" simply by pointing out all the reasons this is bad, and noting that no human being would be exempted, thus she doesn't care a whit about anyone, regardless of her donating however much to poor people. She cares more about making a buck than taking any measures to protect even one person.
Good luck winning a tort claim with that approach. And if she did sue me, I would use that as additional evidence that she doesn't care, by trying to squelch negative reviews, something she doesn't afford anyone else of in her approach, thus proving she doesn't care about anyone but herself.
No, your "Capitalism at its finest" (sarcasm, I get it) was a swipe at Capitalism. On the other hand you have socialism at its finest, which you'll likely ignore. I'll take Capitalism at its finest over Socialism at its finest. Especially if the worst we can do is SPAM ourselves with click-bait advertisement sites on our cell phones.
For the past 50 years, Blacks have been a voting block of 90% for (D). In the past 50 years (two full generations) very little, if any, progress has been made. I've seen the "Black Lives" matter crowd, who seem to only defend criminals with racist (Its cultural) rants about their own people. It is as if they are saying "Black people are criminals, because they are black". The most racist comments are the ones that indicate that blacks cannot help themselves, and must rely upon the government to give them everything they need, because, well, they can't figure it out for themselves (more or less).
You see people who are actually trying to change the status quo, by giving black people the ability to leave their crappy lives behind, only to be shot down as "racist", indicating that blacks need to stay in their ghettos because well that is where they belong.
Just because something is cultural doesn't mean it is good for the people. Culturally, blacks are still enslaved by white task masters, who let only a few out on occasion when it suits the purposes of keeping the rest of the blacks enslaved to the status quo.
The most racist people I know, are black liberals who hate success using terms like "Uncle Tom" in attempts to drag black people back to the ghetto.
Oh, I can see a whole cottage industry of bots available for both character assassination and support.
For the low price of $9.95, you can have 100,000 positive reviews (good). For an additional $9.95, you can personally select up to 50 key words to use in our reviews (better). and for the low introductory price of $95.95, you can have our select crew develop a fully personalized review of your profile, including 200,000 random positive reviews, and personalized management of your Peeple Profile.
You should modify it to say In My Opinion, because your opinion is free speech. Hearsay "I have it on good authority" means that they can compel your source in court, when suing you for liable or slander. And if you are knowingly spreading false reports (made up shit) you are subject to libel and slander tort.
In My Opinion, Peeple co-founder Julia Cordray is a greedy bitch who sees noting wrong with a platform that allows unreliable, anonymous character assassination. She is a worthless twat and a horrible human being who cares nothing for her fellow humans.
So, your solution is to regulate the shit out of every last detail, and have government approve of everything we do, and we can't do it without government approval.
How about we vote with our wallets? If you want to see the latest click bait "Wardrobe malfunction" article, by all means click it. You get what you deserve.
Poor Immigrants from Asia tend to counter your argument.
Great society was the "war on poverty", and we have more poor people now than we did then (percentage wise). I guess another failed war on _______.
This doesn't have anything to do with race, it has to to with liberal policies that have destroyed the family, and disenfranchised women into being single parents, and children raised by other wolf cubs rather than by successful people mentoring them.
The problems are very much compounded by each other, but nobody is willing to even begin to fix the real problems, because we have built in political insulators so that any attempt to fix the actual problem is met with cries from the left about "hate" and "racism".
There is nothing like having reasonable solutions to problems being shouted down because they don't fit the socialist agenda.
If you're not asking the "Why" question, you're only creating more bias.
I'll tell you the "why" part of that question. Asians, who have been slaved in America, had intern camps etc etc have had biases against them, and overcame those biases. WHY? Because they applied themselves and did well in society, becoming a value.
The counterpoint to this is watch what happens when a Black person becomes successful, how their own community shuns them (Uncle Tom, "acting white" etc). The reality is, that blacks are still slaves, to their own cultural biases. And they won't succeed until they leave the plantation and masters that continue to tell them they are still slaves.
Please explain to me, how 50 years after the Great Society, and all the special programs for all the minorities, how they are still disadvantaged by our society?
And While we are talking about this, how do blacks/Hispanics do worse, even generationally, than people not born in the country (Asia for example)?
Here is my take, there is bias in the system, but it isn't whites. IT is the people (parents) and cultures that do not value education as high, don't do as well. You can blame it on white people all you want, but when people come here from other countries and do so much better than people who are born and raise here, you can no longer point to the system or society in general.
And knowing what I know, the greatest predictor to success in school is the parents (or lack thereof). DO the parents value education or is school just a place to send kids for babysitting services? You want to fix the education system, fix the broken homes. (or is that racist?)
The problem with this approach, is that it is information age approach, while we have people kicking and screaming to hold onto Industrial (factory) schools. These people view everything in a "one size fits all" formula for schooling our children, because it is much easier to place blame on bad teachers, not enough money, racism, poverty and everything else when kids don't get educated.
The actual problem is the system itself, because it wants equal outcome for all. We pour huge amounts of resources into educating kids who are not capable, while practically ignoring those that are exceptional. And any kid with any sort of "disability" gets special education plan, and any parent who wants help, gets their kid into that program and bam all sorts of other free services also come into play (i.e. door to door busing, even if the school is two blocks away) . While I don't doubt there are kids who need special help, the whole thing in general no longer works.
I call what you're talking about the "There ought to be a law" argument. These are people who see an outcome that they don't particularly like, who then cry "There ought to be a law" without thinking. It is almost reflexive at this point. I'm just waiting for a sane statesman who will simply counter with a single question "Why?"
Why ought there be a law, simply because you don't like something?
You break in (ahem "search") and discover Joe is a fan of the Sporting Team, which is very useful for the investigation. You don't use that information to secure a search warrant.
You follow and stakeout Sporting Team Event with agents, and "discover" Joe attending, being a fan. You use THIS information for search warrant, because it is very useful for the investigation. You then use the search warrant to search the previously searched location, and discover additional incriminating evidence you already knew was there, but otherwise couldn't disclose.
It is very useful technique to skirt the laws. You use alternative methods to rediscover things you already knew.
Because Obama's birth place is relevant moving forward!
Speaking of which, I would put out a campaign platform that is "Pro Liberty"
My platform is Pro Liberty. In the case where there is any doubt, I will choose the side that lets people decide what is best for themselves, rather than some bean counter or bureaucrat in a far away place. This includes all the proposals to help people by taking from others. You cannot have a free society where caring is coerced by threat of government guns.
Which is why, as a Libertarian, I oppose any extension of Government power on principle alone. We already have too much government interference in our lives.
Queue up the anti Libertarian rants below, starting with "Somalia" in 3... 2...1
You failed to read my response. Planned Parenthood isn't the only choice. There are PLENTY of other Woman's Health Centers out there, most don't perform abortion. And I suggested expanding coverage for these. So your view is simply binary choice selection, which is what I said in the first place.
It kills me to think that you think many government services actually is valuable. For the most part, private industry would do a hell of a lot better for a hell of a lot less.
Here is just one little example: If a Government project fails its stated goals, what happens? If a Private Company's project fails, what happens?
There is absolutely no way to stop a failed government project or department. We have the Department of Education, which has done exactly what for education? Don't tell me what they spend money on or what programs they offer, tell me, how well the US is doing overall in the world in education? All that money, being spent is bad money after worse money. We have populations enslaved to the status quo because they have no choice in the matter. Offering up "School Choice" (vouchers) is met by ridiculous claims about church and state and such so NOTHING changes. (heaven forbid a black child gets educated by a Christian school, it is better they vegetate in the school they are assigned because EVIL Christians)
And no, throwing more money at that problem isn't going to solve it. But that is the ONLY option we are given. Failed Programs after Failed Programs, and yet we haven't fired the whole department yet. In the end, nobody is responsible, because that is the way the system is set up.
. They've lost because people want to use what is popular (and has apps), and Android and iOS are it.
That is NOT why they lost. They lost because BlackBerry Server was stupid expensive, and each unit licensing was even more expensive.
They could have killed everyone by giving the server away, and charging for "enhanced" features that a few people might have wanted. But they didn't and that is the end of that story.
Taxes are regressive. You've given another fine example of why. Thanks

If you use Qualitative terms and epithets you're fine, because one man's ugly is another man's Julia Cordray. Oh wait, I'm being redundant.

No, the merchants are opposed to them because all the fraud comes back to them, not the bank.
A merchant can do everything correctly, and still get nailed.
