Or the technology was too expensive/slow to implement until recently. Sending images from a 1 MPix camera over dialup was near impossible, seeing as back then a 1 MPix camera was hugely expensive, and dial up too slow. It was obvious that video conferencing was coming from the sixties when we had cartoon depictions of it in the Jetsons.
IT was obvious it was coming, we just didn't have the tech for it until we had the tech for it, and then it took off as prices dropped and abilities increased.
The problem is, that while your criticism is valid, it often applies to people of both political parties almost equally. Granted, not all of them are running for President, but it isn't fair to single him out while ignoring everyone else doing it.
And if you BELIEVE that, you're exactly what is wrong with the left. It was done on purpose, it is about Rick Santorum, and it is about linking his name to gay sex. But you're going for Plausible Deniability that is about as likely as the moon going super nova.
What then is the point of life? Define the purpose of life in such a way that it does NOT differ from all other creatures, for you are just like all other creatures. The moment you define the point of HUMAN life differently from all other creatures, you have created your own god (mankind).
Your life as an Atheist has no different purpose than that of a bug. It is to live, spread your DNA and then die. Anything more is you making your god after your image.
I have a saying that belies the problem you suggested. "We must do something, this is something, therefore it must be done!"
EVEN if there is Global Warming, and EVEN if mankind is responsible for part of it, the ONLY option would be to mass kill humans so that the rest of us could live in Pre-Industrial Sustainable localized economies. The problem is, nobody is willing to suggest that... directly.
Modern society is predicated upon petrochemical products, and boundless energy we can't sustain.

If that is the case, then the transfer of assets equates to "sale". He sold his stock to pay for a loan. Tax the transfer of wealth.
Or better yet, realize that ALL taxes are regressive and only tax things as a society that are "evil" but otherwise should be legal. I'd legalize pot and coke, and tax the crap out of it. Gone would be the "cool" factor, and we'd be able to pay for everything we want, and it would be a complete choice by everyone involved on whether or not they wanted to be taxed.
Until we get people to realize that you can't tax the rich, they will always move their money where it is taxed the least, and taxing the poor is bad politics. The only people who ever get the shit end of the stick are the "middle class"(defined by not rich enough to evade taxes and not poor enough to not pay taxes).
We should be rewarding people for being wise with money, not punishing them with taxes.
This is part of the bias of the MSM that most people who say "what bias?" don't get. It isn't always what news is presented and how it is presented, it is just as often what is NEVER mentioned. If a (R) says something stupid and wrong, you blast it all over the place and repeat it until it becomes fokelore, but if a (D) says something stupid and wrong it goes without even a glance.
It isn't always about the "truth" of what is being reported, but often about what is, or isn't covered. That and creative editing to "frame" a story to illicit a certain response. THAT is the bias.
Complaining about Beck is just a classic example of bashing someone, just to bash someone, because they seem like an easy target. And as you pointed out, Beck was against SOPA even before it was popular in the press. I guess a broken clock is right twice a day huh?
The same OWSers who were crying police brutality / police state were the same ones who ran crying to the police when their girlfriend had her toes licked by the stranger they let sleep in the same tent. I call that Irony.
It isn't just social conservatives, it is also liberal elites as well. ANYTIME someone says "for the children" it is probably NOT for the children.
I've seen plenty of sites blocked because of some liberal outrage of the week. Here are some choice topics: Big Pharma, Big Oil, Tobacco, Guns and Ammo, anything deemed "not green", almost anything "too Religious" (aka hate, no kidding), sites opposed to Abortion, etc.
So, no, you did not FTFY properly.
Also, there are often ties to funds to implement some filters, and filters don't work, and are broken by design. We all know this, but that doesn't stop the people who have the money from making the rules associated with receiving that money. If you want to fix the problem learn this phrase:
"Technology doesn't solve sociological problems, it can only mask them"
TXTing is so 00's It was useful when people only had regular cellphones. Now that most of the people I need to message are on smart phones of one kind or another, I prefer email, which I get on any computer I use (home, work) as well as my phone. I don't want to be tethered to my phone at all times.
I'm sorry, but I find it "VERY" hard to believe you have any basis for your complaint. I doubt you ever had to run a business, pay a payroll, pay taxes on the business, pay taxes on income taken out of a company, pay 1/2 of all the employee SS taxes, pay for overhead, pay for....
30% is NOTHING for that. Their making piles of cash come from selling devices, lots of devices, and having a lock on the latest hardware production for years to come. The APP store is not where they make money, and from your complaint, it sounds like you think Apple should be running it like a charity.
Never is such a strong word, that it almost always is wrong when used in definitive statements. Your statement is provably false.
Isaac Newton was not persecuted by the "religion" of his era. And to say he wasn't religious is... just stupidity on your part (the "NEVER" part). Most of what Newton did was in response to "religion", as it was a large part of the driving force in what he did.
WW1 and WW2 were religious? Korea was Religious? Vietnam? Iraq 1 n 2? Afghanistan? Libya? Kosovo?
Oh, you mean wars from hundreds of years ago? like the Civil War? oh wait, not that war... you mean other wars like Napoleonic? wait, no not that one... hmmm couldn't be Revolutionary wars and all the other wars of revolts...
Wait? You're not one of those "I HATE RELIGION" trolls are you that turns a blind eye to every significant war of the last 200 years or so, just so you can bash religion for long past "wars".
I think Politics and Governments cause wars, so... let us ban those!
The HELL they don't. Check the profession of congress, and see which profession is represented the most. Check your state houses as well, you'll find the same thing there. Watch how they speak always doing the Lawyer Two Step, speaking out of both sides of their mouth at the same time (and often out of their asses as well).
These people are trained to speak obtusely and using big fancy words that don't mean anything. They always have "wiggle room", and parse the language in unique ways.
Sorry, but I don't agree with you. In my world Lawyers would be banned from serving in either the Legislative or Executive Branches of government, having already joined the Judicial branch by their profession (as officers of the court).
Yes, Lawyers do make the laws, and execute them as well.
Since your basic arguement is we don't need less regulation because you equate that with no regulation, And that we need more regulation. Then I'll apply your basic logic and say that you're for total and complete regulation of everything by the state.
There is a point where existing regulations are enough, and adding more regulation doesn't accomplish anything or worse, adversely affects everyone. What people like you are unwilling to look at is that regulation will never stop malfeasance. That is what a Crime is, willful disregard for public safety.
Take for example all the ADA laws out there, do you know that there are people who make their entire living looking for ADA compliance problems and SUING people for refusing to fix the issues. For example the handicapped railing has to be 36" off the ground, but a measurement shows it to be 35", so they sue. They make millions each year doing exactly that. Parking space not exact... sue! Historical building but doesn't have wheel chair access.. sue .
As for other parts of the world, of which we (I, you, us Americal, western world etc) has little or no control over, is something... well I don't have any control over. Iran is going to build a nuke, and there is nothing I can do, why worry about it, because besides handwringing there isn't much we're doing to stop them.
Or the technology was too expensive/slow to implement until recently. Being a victim doesn't mean you can retaliate anyway you want. Nice try.

You act like this wasn't a subtle form of editorializing by the newspaper. It was, and you think it is clever. Says a lot about you.
Kids kill themselves for NOT being gay and being bullied for other reasons. Or are you saying that gay kids are more special because they are gay?
What if I'm opposed to Sodomy for Sanitary / Public Health Reasons?
Says the AC.
So you admit your life is pointless? How sad.

To be fair, the current Administration (NDAA) agrees with ASSad, just as long as you label them "terrorist" first ;)
