Let us address what is wrong with your viewpoint.

People fail all the time, they have to learn to deal with failures in life. And by not allowing natural consequences to proceed normally, you're stunting the growth; failure is often the greatest teacher of them all. By not allowing "failure" you're denying those that need failure to learn.

You're the part of the problem nobody else wants to deal with, because they don't want to admit that some people have to learn things the hard way. I speak from experience, because I have a daughter that is exactly like this, every lesson learned is one that arises from pain of failure. But she learns from her pain. You would have me rescue her every time and avoid the painful lessons she needs to learn. If I did that, she wouldn't learn anything.

    A) Correlation does mean causation. There are plenty of poor people who do well in spite of being "poor". I'd rather show other factors, like single parent families versus two parent families, families with drug and alcohol problems etc. But we can't without stigmatizing the poor slut with five kids by seven fathers.

    B) Change peer groups, or grow a backbone. This is a huge problem in some "communities" where being good in school means getting your ass kicked for making everyone else look stupid, or "selling out to the white man.

    C) Carrot and Stick, not just carrot, not just stick. It also takes everyone (namely parents) being interested in the education of their children.

We also have to accept that not all kids can reach acceptable levels. Once we have done that, we can progress.

Well, there is a sure fire way to fix that problem. Add an amendment that any politician at any level that proposes ANYTHING other than national sales tax standardization, to feed the states directly, is guilty of a Felony, subject to no less than 10 years in Federal Prison. They can revoke it, and then vote on a new one but cannot even mention a "new one" until the old one is revoked. They are not allowed to PROPOSE changing it in any way shape or form, adding conditions, controls, increasing the tax; any change is a FELONY.

Until that condition is applied and enforced, I'm against it. If Politicians cannot agree to that, then we already know they are thinking of ways to get their hands on the money.

Vote Libertarian, and keep more of your own money, and stop having it taxed, feed, confiscated by the government.

Corporations are creations of the state, and thus are subject to it. And the biggest mistake granted by our government to the corporation, was the legal status of a "person" (technically "entity"). When the state, gave the same rights and privileges to the corporations as that of an individual "person", all of our liberties were diluted to the point of not being liberties any longer.

The purpose of the state is to protect the liberties of individuals, which it is failing on all levels. That is the SOLE purpose of the state. Any purpose beyond that will, inevitably, lead to tyranny.

I sense the frustration you have in "corporate" control, but you're improperly blaming Libertarians for this problem, when in fact, we've had two competing parties trying to enslave us to their vision of totalitarianism. Left-wing Totalitarianism is just as distasteful as Right-wing as both lead to unrestrained government power.

Proper restraint of corporations would arise from proper governance. They would exist as an economic entity, not a legal one. The problem is that people don't care enough about their liberties, they are willing to hand them over for a bowl of porridge.
