Atleast all they do is march around with signs and shout, I'm unaware of the last time they suicide bombed anywhere or stormed a place with AK's and grenades.
They could import I guess, maybe playasia carries them. The point is though there's plenty of alternatives to an iPad so if you don't want a locked down platform, don't buy one.
As much as I'm in the anti-apple camp but are they also going to sue microsoft, sony and nintendo for having total control over what goes on their platforms? It's not as if there's no alternative to the iPad, how about an iPed (http://kotaku.com/5549865/china-rips-off-the-ipad-with-the-iped)
"According to this TBS news report, the iPed is on sale in Shenzhen, China. Shenzhen is the location of the largest Foxconn plant, where the iPhone and the iPad are manufactured. The iPed comes packaged in a box that looks like the iPod. While it is slightly heavier than the iPad, the device is powered by an Intel chip and runs on Google's open source operating system Android. But like the iPad, it is a multi-media device. And is priced at the equivalent of ¥9,600 (US$105). The iPad is priced at ¥48,800 ($536) in The Land of the Rising Sun."
As someone from the UK that is spot on. The only decent thing to come out of the BBC is top gear. The only other programs I consistantly watch are South Park and 24 and they're both American.....and over:(
Satelite can deliver HD quality images. Cable proably can to (dont have it here) netflix is streaming so obviously that wont deliver blu ray quality. I just think the cost of blu ray is overall prohibitive. You may demand the highest quality regardless but whos to say you cant download that quality? You can download qualitys higher that blu ray if you have a display capable of it. I just think a media server is the best way to go and is the way johnny as-little-effort-as-possible is going to go for it. A big HD and suitable connection is much cheaper than a blu-ray player. Price+convinence really puts DD at a winner. And thats direct download. Not streaming. Of course the companies can easily fuck it up with drm issues etc but thats besides the point. My point anyway.
If you really want the highest quality to watch movies as they should be, you should be on film and projector. More resolution than you could possibly need there.
And I Imagine what he means by important or valuable computers is ones that cant fire cruise missiles at Iran or have the names of all undercover agents stored neatly on it or some such foolishness.
"So the correct analogy to a car would be if you stole the car and prevented the owner from collecting the revenue from renting it to somebody else."
The whole car analagy is flawed at the core though. There will only ever be one car. It cant be infintaltly copied at will for all and sunder like digital code can. If we were dealing in photo's of a car, then it can stick but untill then, they need to come up with a better ad that doesn't annoy 90% of the people who see it, every damn time, except that would eat into their already dwindling profits.
What they should do is make better films. Then people might be inclined to pay for more of it. Add to the fact as TFA states sometimes you just cant get ahold of what you want legally for love nor money so you kinda just download it as an F U

I tried...I failed.
If only the law could take common sense for granted you wouldn't need such tight definitions of what is what and what it is or isn't allowed to do

Bargain.
That's like saying we're driving of a cliff but can't change direction because we're already in the car heading off the cliff.
Let's see how they try and blame this on human activity.
Save yourself some bandwidth and go on the dulux wall paint drying simulator. Much more interesting.
Well that's the good thing about opinions, eh.
Sounds about right.

Yeah they said the same about achievements. Then came out with their trophies.
Cosmic Rays? Don't be so silly. It was obviously the Gremlins.....in SPAAAAAAAAACE!
There's. some. one, on the extendable boom.......some. thing. on the boom!
Yeah. live has always had the paid for model, it might've been free on beta but i'm pretty sure you still had to buy the pack.
1) Other OS - gone
2) Free online - about to go
3) blu ray - more than likely going to die as a format before its time as DD takes over.
So yeah what are the chances of a healthy price drop to go with it. Slim is my guess.
Wait, so they reckon it'll cost seven hundred grand to change a few passwords off the defualt? Where do I sign up for that job?
nazi murderers =/= a guy looking for aliens.

Yawn blah/blah/blah etc
What if you stole a car to go to the cinema? Would they mind that?
Atleast then something has actually been stolen, as in taken from the original owner, not just spun off another copy.
