you can keep track of what accounts are accessed by what user. So when one of those accounts gets marked you just mark the associated accounts as well. It isn't perfectly clean but better deal with one misjudged user than loose thousands.

Still, just banning the troll/spamer and identifying high risk registration locations for monitoring is usually the cleanest way. Nowadays you clean your forum of one user in what 10ms?

One problem that came to mind when I first thought about Linux on the retina Mac Books is that the compositors won't work out of the box since afaik compiz (which is inside gnome and unity) doesn't work for resolutions over 2ki*2ki

I guess that could be easily fixed in the source but who takes the time to look at that one... plus I've heard recompiling Mutter can be a bit sketchy at times...

It still is, but to be honest in general multi monitor in linux sucks if you want to have compiz (2k limitation) so unity is a bit better but not enough.

Since the Interfaces can be implemented there is a very distinct separation of responsibility.
I Valve choose the right interfaces for their impementation (and make a good implementation
of them). They shouldn't get any trouble upstream. Interface changes are usually well
documented and if they are not then it's clearly the interface developer that messed up.

Yep, synthetic composites can produce better structural properties than their pure metal counterparts. Still that doesn't mean that companies are actually using the better components. Also of note here is that better tensile/compressive strength doesn't help you if you actually want a deforming device so all the aforementioned composites are invalid as far as the deformability claims go since they would deform worse than Aluminium.

Also of note is that the point in doing material research for some projects is to create a better product while for most projects it just is to make components cheaper.

I had done some research on the quality of the plastics going into laptop cases in early 2004 and found that among all the made to price devices only the Sony Vaio line had some quality concerns in their compound design reciepes and if you look at laptops from that era the only thing you will see is a faded mess. Seriously the only plastic device I have seen fade nicely is the Nokia N9 and on that one the test is still going.

Ok, I really don't like advocation for apple inc but:

Is the nexus7 a shell of glass and aluminium? No. That is one of the problems I have had with
Android tablets. They are too plasticky, usually after a few weeks use they look far worse than
they begun with and from day one you get a hint of a device made to accounts, not to specs.

The apple device is perceived as a better device because in every perceptional level it is a
better device; not because it was there first.

  18. Re:ugly specs. on Oculus Rift Virtual Reality Headset Blows Past Kickstarter Goal · · Score: 1

I'm sceptical about the resolution as well. Even though I think that the perceived resolution will not be as shabby.
Here's why: Your sight works by comparing the input from both eyes. When You look at the world you do not
effectively perceive the input of each eye separately but a blend of both eyes' inputs.

With that as context the perceived resolution should not be 640x800 but in the range between that and
1280x1600. Obviously there is a lot of extrapolating going on inside everybody's optical perception clusters so
while the input detail will be about 1M pixels the perceived image clarity should be from 0.5M pixels to 2M pixels.
Perception is a very tricky thing. One thing is for sure though even if the device manages to trick your brain into
thinking it sees clearer that it actually does 2M pixels is no where near reality. Still, should be good enough for
games since those do not need the whole reality shebang to be enjoyable.

See what I did to the titel there? Yep, I added a "NOT" negating it.

Amazon being unfair does not mean that cloud technology is unfair just that there is no "unlimited storage for free" solution.
Every service you obtain from someone comes with it's cost. My personal opinion is that - given you are capable of handling
the complexity - you just do it yourself and incur the, usually decent pricetag in favor of privacy/certainty.
Using a cloud infrastructure provider (like aws) you can cloudify all your assets without a problem. Of course certainty (and
often paranoia) dictates that you at least manage to have secured backups of your static data, like, images, video, music and
    db dumps on the ground.

Of course all the above takes for granted that you are not an idiot and actually can live with your own custom cloud.
