    Yeah. The point being thousands of Americans killed in Vietnam. I guess just a couple hundred or so just doesn't constitute 'a point'. Everything else is pretty much the same.

    I might be naive, but I think it can be considered grounds for a lawsuit. Nobody can take something that doesn't belong to them and modify it unless they have an owner's approval or a court decision. They might have destroyed his data. That's a civil tort.

    If the customs guards suspect you have a hidden partition, they can just wipe the empty areas of the disk.

    I don't think it's legal for them to modify the media in any way.

    In my experience I found that only HitmanPro is capable of detecting and removing TDSS/Alureon on all occasions. It's not free (a free 30-day license is available though).

    I'd say that guy's pay would be between 30 and 40 thousand which is pretty much the bottom of the IT. I can't quite understand how you can make less than this in your position.

    I don't understand this one. The text on my computer is clear and legible. There's plenty of different fonts, and I've never seen a computer with illegible text.

    Most probably he meant that reading books was still better for the eyesight than reading off the computer screen (even the latest Kindle isn't there yet).

    I hardly notice that, so it isn't much of a problem for me.

    The key word here is 'me'.

    Not really much of a problem. Once it's on, it's on for a while, and it doesn't usually take long to startup.
