    Basically, A person is considered 'unemployed' if they don't have a job *AND* they are looking for one.

    Based on this post, the unemployment rate is really half or less than the published rate, because a single person is unemployed and looking, but *they* are counted as unemployed, implying at least a factor or two. At least you didn't WTFA.

    What amazes me is that you and people like you can't think in categories other than those in which you have been programmed.

    It will get warmer bit by bit until it starts getting colder bit by bit. Eventually we will move from this ice age to the next. There is little we can do to slow it down or speed it up.

    Isn't it interesting that the biggest topic of followup conversation is not any part of Perl, but Larry's view of God and man's relationship to him. I think Larry did a masterful job of telling the truth with love. And I think that the fact that so many people want to discuss it further shows that this is the real center of life. Thanks, Larry.

    Does my supposed contract with the networks allow me to go to the bathroom during commercials?

    Aren't there some kind of viewing rate statistics figured into the advertising bill? Does the advertiser suppose everyone is watching the stupid commercial and pay for that? Seems to me that the networks owe a lot of money back to the advertisers, if that is the case?
