The rounding of rocks is usually due to rocks rubbing against each other carbon dioxide wouldn't be able to generate the necessary force unless it was moving at rather high speeds with higher densities than I (as a non-expert) doubt would be attainable on the lower gravity of Mars.
I've re-used beer bottles at least 10+ times each with no concern. The problem they might be having is that the commercially used beer bottles are typically made of a thinner glass than the ones sold for home brewing. That being the case most of the bottles I used for home brewing had big raised letters on the side saying "New Belgium" (makers of Fat Tire).
Again completely false they could not see you at your destination before you left because you would not be there yet. They would see you arrive at your destination faster than the speed of light but not before you left. At no point would you be violating causality unless you used the type of wormhole that links two different times which has yet to be conclusively proven impossible. As well there is no real reason to believe that my future self could not go back in time and have caused the universe to be in the state that it is currently in. Which makes the causality argument shaky at best. Also it looks like you don't have a firm understanding of special or general relativity.
To make an effort takes the desire to make an effort that in and of itself is one of many things that sets groups of people apart.
As a math tutor for many years in a walk in tutoring environment with many tutors I watched hundreds of students struggling their way through Business Calculus and failing (no matter which tutor) some managed to scrape by with a C with literally hundreds of hours in the lab asking questions and pushing to understand the concepts. With enough help they would pass but still with no concept of what it was they were actually learning. This does not change for any given field of study some can get it some can't. I'm not saying these people are any lesser or greater than each other they just have different domains of capability. Programming has a very specific domain of capability that happens to be rather specific.
If by become competent you mean write a program that functions most of the time in horribly written VB then you have a point but no one wants that code and no real developer would call them competent. This code they churn out ends up costing their clients more in the long run than not having a program take care of any of the work. Going on what you said competence is a very low standard and "competent" should never be allowed in the workplace.
Designers are awesome. I will never be able to do their work and I would be much happier if I didn't have to try. I just sure as hell wouldn't want to have most of them doing any actual programming.
Quite a significant number of engineers that went through a university engineering program aren't even competent engineers I've met a few myself. As far as design I've seen way too many horrible designers with many years of experience to believe you on that one.
What do you think about those of us that got bored with the CS major switched to Math studied multiple programming languages and just bought the books for the rest of the CS classes they didn't take (and of course read them and tried out the interesting problems)? Some of us are still stuck in Visual Studio only shops.
"Eh? The counterexample is faulty because it's not a counterexample. Limited liability by your point of view is faulty because shareholders aren't completely responsible for the actions of the company. There's no relation between the two."
It wasn't the other posters intent to provide a counterexample it was his intent to show fault in the logic you used. The strategy of taking another persons logic and showing the flaws in it by using it to produce absurdity is a well known strategy and is quite useful especially against people that don't understand what is happening.
The "conservatives" at this point are no better than the "liberals". Sadly we didn't go into enough of a depression to force radical change which is what is needed at this point. As far as I can see it really doesn't matter if we go with "conservative" or "liberal" what really needs to be done is to clear out the cruft laws and simplify the system as best we can. I think this can be done without a revolution but that seems to be how it has always happened in the past. Every code base needs re-factoring every once in a while and our government is about due.
Pretty sure those don't support your point. It specifically states that he has only superficial power over congress he can "Recommend to their Consideration" and "adjourn them to such time as he shall think proper". AKA he can give them information and recommend a plan (things he could do without the paragraph) and tell them when to take time off. In the second paragraph it says that he can appoint judges but not tell them what to do. The only true power he has is as commander in chief of the military/federal police forces (FBI CIA and so on).
Yes he is indeed but our choices are "full of $#!!" and "full of even more $#!!" and the third parties who are "full of slightly less $#!!". I would happily vote for anyone that was only "mildly tainted by $#!!"
It says "J.R.R. Tolkien's Middle Earth" Tolkein is dead now his family who did not create this slightly above average series of novels gets to sell his work and make millions. There is nothing that seems right about this in my mind. No one should profit from another persons work. If you aren't doing the work yourself or at the very least making it easier for the person doing the work to do their job you should get nothing from it. Money is meant to represent a person's contributions to society if you haven't contributed you shouldn't have any.
I am really starting to hate the juxtaposition of script kiddie and hacker culture. One is a culture built from a love of intellectual freedom and computers the other is built from a love of breaking into things and causing mayhem. Because both have the ability to and sometimes do break into other peoples computers does not make them the same culture.
Hackers have a distinct set of social mores from their parent culture as a whole but these mores still have respect for others as a central tenant.
Script Kiddies well just surf 4-chan to find out.
The general hacker/geek culture tends to be perceived as rude because they don't talk much and are often quite abrupt.
The Script Kidde "culture" is loud outspoken and crude.
Please do not associate the Script Kiddies with the otherwise just misunderstood geek/hacker crowds.
I would have written quite a few games myself... Except I absolutely suck at content. It's not like programming is hard at most levels (Optimization is a different story).
It is unreasonable to downright insane to have pride in anything that is not your accomplishment. Your government, the country you live in, etc. These are not things to have pride in. Your children, your family, your house, your friends, these are the things that should inspire you to have pride.

You do realize he meant heat from the electrical devices that Microsoft ran to use the electricity don't you?

According to every physics class I've ever taken your statement is indeed false.

Maybe this is because they keep firing good developers and replacing them with people from India?

I believe a spouse should be taken care of as was not well enough explained in my above post and children under the age of 25 (or so) beyond that yes.

What do you mean by "What do you mean by "contrary"?"

And contrary to racist beliefs Europeans and Asians are more closely related to Neanderthals than Africans.
