Oh and bugtraq says that 1.42.7 isn't secure either.
Here is a mailing list archive or yet another redundant reference of this problem. It's almost a year old.
Come on slashdotters, don't get sloppy in the deluge huh?
This is old news all. Basically you could use SNMP to turn on the remote management (e.g. use web interface from the WAN side). Then once you had web access you could do anything the web interface would allow. They fixed this how long ago? PS There is a new release of the firmware postdating the article (1.43). Some moderator was in a hurry and posted FUD.
Might as well stand on the street corner with an MS-AOL shirt on! "Loudcloud pays me to hold this sign."
Generally, Microsoft is a partner of Loudcloud, and we work really well with them at Loudcloud because we support their technology and we have a bunch of customers running on Windows. So we don't take formal positions on remedies or lawsuits.
Thank you. Now I know that everything you say about the industry is M$B$. Submissive, but smart given his circumstances. Cheers to loudcloud's little profit graph.
My attitude is, everybody should try competing with Microsoft once in their life. Once.
Isn't that the opposite of an attitude? There are still 9 states with attitude!
/. Thank You for making a stand and stink about this.
I think your lawyers will tell you that nothing can be done about the full texts posted here, but comments and instructions are indeed legal. The ultimatum on the legality of Micro~1's actions will probable not be decided until the kerberos dispute is settled. Then I think we'll all see this whole business plan crumble around Micros~1's ears.
Right?

ALL HAIL
Couldn't we just find a set of IPs and Names, post them, and firewall the dickens out of them. Sort of net embargo. I'm going to start now.
