    Sweet, so you're talking in fold comp sci examples as to how software can kill...

    As I read this from my textbook in intro to cs (where the example is cited) I see that the problem wasn't a machine or a robot or safety limits. it was that you were allowed to type in the dosage. and if you hit enter and then delete because you messed up the dosage level, it would combine both dosages. but it's good that you got it correct.

    if you're wondering.. I looked it up in my textbook, java 101 Ken Goldman 1999. I'm to lazy to trace the reference to the study that it most likely came from...

    but it's good that you were half awake when they talked about software killing people in your cs class.

    And how many of your friends who aren't geeks (oh wait, bad question) still turn their computers off all the time. Where oh where is the email to go when your computer is off? Not a very reliable way to do it. Dedicated servers will be around for a long time.

    That's not what that message is about. If you use paypal at all, and I do because I run a local band's website which takes orders on paypal for cd's & t-shirts, you would have noticed when purchasing when you go there the inital screen will sometimes say that the paypal system is busy, please refresh. Even for our small amount of sales we've had several customers ask us what that meant.

    I agree except for the $2.5 million tag that's still going to go along w/ each of those fighters... what you cut in pilot's gear you make up in communication gear.. and you get some flak and you're gone.. it's not going to be as robust as a pilot in a titanium tub.
