Micro$oft trademarks everything. Why can't we have a few? (I'm guessing M$ will begin trademarking letters soon. It's not like they can't afford to TM the entire dictionnary.)
Flames are worthless if you aren't even willing to post your name along with your comment for fear of someone, in turn, flaming YOU. So censorship REALLY ISN'T the issue, but it's close. People being loud then hiding is the issue. I agree, censorship should never happen. But I'm not too keen on ONE cranky person posting 500 shitty comments just because they have a personal beef against Katz. (You can't tell me that it doesn't happen, I'm pretty sure it does.) Anonymous Cowards are abound in Slashdot (it sometimes seems they overrun the site), and they obviously don't get that they shouldn't be flaming if they can't handle getting burned.
