    Can you imagine paying hundreds if not thousands of dollars on eBay for something that only exists in one of these games, then finding out a few weeks, months, or years later that it's going into the bit-bucket at the end of the month?

    I sold one of my characters for several hundred dollars, but it was at the height of that particular game's lifespan. SWG characters may have been valued in the hundreds and thousands - I don't know, but if SOE is discontinuing service my guess is that the game is well past it's prime - and characters aren't valued for very much anymore.

    Name a 5 liter american sedan it can beat off the line.

    The only thing that comes to mind is a Chrysler 300 Hemi or Dodge Charger R/T (the same car) and let me assure you, that vehicle will smoke your 30 year old diesel. The Mercedes W126 from 1982 is rated at 15 seconds to 60. That compares favorably with basically no modern sedan, much less throwback muscle cars from Detroit. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2F4Bu4G3NR8 That's a 2.3L I4 Ford Fusion from 2008.

    It's a fine automobile for its durability, but lets not go overboard.

    But terminal velocity is not about density.

    Roughly speaking terminal velocity is proportional to weight and inversely proportional to area perpendicular to the falling direction. This means that smaller objects tend to fall slower

    It's not about density, but absent a proper coefficient of drag it's the best tool I have at my disposal. The latter half of this comment, that smaller objects tend to fall slower, is not correct. Given two objects of equal mass and proportional shape, the smaller will have a higher terminal velocity - they have equal acceleration due to mass, but unequal deceleration due to drag (favoring the smaller).

    No, but it's density is about 2.18 g/cm3 - more than twice that of a human body. A flailing human hits Vt around 125 mph, so I think it's safe to assume somewhere upwards of that.

    It had a case on it, so scratches on the device itself shouldn't be an issue.

    On the other hand, bushes and dirt are quite good at slowing a falling object down in a nonviolent manner.
