Yup, the new elite fly private/chartered. You won't see them in First Class anymore. That's just for frequent flyers with miles burning a hole in their pockets.
I haven't made a new friend in the last 12 years. Why should I? I have good friends I can trust and they trust me, we get along well and still get together as our travels permit. Most of these friends go back 20 years or so but a few go all the way back to first grade (36 years or so). Why should friends be dropped and replaced?
Oh geez, here we go: Mac Plus with Minix boot disks (geek fun) Mac IIcx with NetBSD (old router with 3 10MB Nubus NICs) Mac Centris 650 with Apple A/UX (geek fun) Mac Quadra 650 with Mac OS 7.6.1 (run Photoshop 2.5/Illustrator 5.5 and LaCie tabloid scsi scanner) Mac Duo 270c with OS 7.1 (runs cool screen saver) Mac MDD G4 with OS X 10.4 (need to sell) Mac Cube with fried logic board/power converter (inserted homemade cable reversed on one side. D'oh!) iBook G4 1GHz (Backup system for Mom) Mac Mini G4 with NetBSD (web server) 2x MacBooks Core2Duo something or other. (Wife and Daughter's computers) Mac Mini Core2Duo (AV Server) Mac Mini Core2Duo with Win7 iMac Core2Duo something or other (speed now days isn't that important for my personal system) iPod shuffle (original) iPod Picture iPod Video iPod Nano iPod Touch iPhone 3GS iPhone 4
D'oh! No iPad. Oh, that's right, am waiting for v.2.
I have a MacMini has home AV server with all our ripped movies, purchased content (a few kids movies and modern Dr. Who eps) as well as a tv tuner for recording stuff. It's on all the time but isn't hooked up to a monitor or anything. Just sits up on a shelf next to a cat6 drop I had installed when we built house. Streaming to AppleTV works fine so one of these new mini-AppleTV's will probably work for us. The price is low enough that I'll probably put one in the guest room soon.
As for iTunes 10, am bummed that it doesn't see iPhone/iPod Touch/iPads as Airtunes devices and stream media to them. I hate having to dock my iPhone in order to update files on it. I have ElGato EyeTV on my Mac Mini home server and it can stream both live and recorded tv shows to my iPhone, even over 3g connection. Wish iTunes did this.
Actually, no. We've had a lot of bears coming down from the mountains. They had to trank and pick up 4 bears last weekend, all within 3 miles of our house. Now, they say it's because of poor food supplies up in the mountains but obviously, I put the rune on my amulet on backwards. D'oh!
I still have a Powerbook Duo 270c.
But I know what you mean.
Furry gangsters?
Japan does rule the world.
Can't let one of the unwashed masses come near the kleptocratic elites now, can we?
California's weird.
As for traveling with a firearm, I always bring it in a locking case; either small one for hand guns that goes in a checked bag or a rifle case.
And Canadians.

I live in New Mexico.
I think the newer iMacs can handle video in and work as a monitor. Might be something to look in to.
D'oh! has to be Display port output from another system and then the 27" iMac will work as a monitor.
How dare you say abortion and gun control don't matter?!!!
Damn, that made me laugh.
Exactly. My family'd be happy with 8 or 9 channels and streaming movie access and that's about it. Paying for 90% channels we don't watch is stupid.
Cowboy Neal, dood!
I hope low /. ID's will equate to better harems.
We've always been at war with Eurasia!
I still have a Ti-99/4a (plastic case). Need to get it out of storage and show daughter what real computing is.
Dood! Look at my /. id.

At least Hot or Not isn't on the list.
So... the Mashed Potato is right out?
Yup! Windows sheeple won't take to Windows tablets for some reason. Maybe if they had Bono carry one on stage or did a new Jerry/Bill commercial...

Where's tumblr fit in to all this?
It looks like the new Apple TV is just a video version of the , allowing streaming video/music from iTunes hosting devices. And it doesn't act as a wifi hot spot.

I'm wearing an amulet. I made it myself. So far, it's rubbed a raw spot on my chest so it must be working.
