run, don't walk, as quickly as you can away from this idea. no! MS has trouble getting open formats like PNG right (or maybe the excuse is that they're working on their own format and have intentionally screwed up PNG).
still no excuse for end users not to have access to and be using *strong* encryption. it'll take several more outings (such as the AT&T thing) for this to be pounded into the collective heads of the masses.
i read in another article, and in thinking about it would probably also be my conclusion, that the motivation was likely not to remove abscessed parts of the tooth, but to provide a means by which evil spirits or whatever could escape.
better funded non-governmental enterprise will have us on mars before nasa can get to their rest stop on the moon. the manned space program is in shambles, people.
