You might want a feature of sending a message over the network to indicate the elevator is stuck/overloaded/damaged or what have you. That should be hardware single direction data though.
Dunno how they actually do it, but I'd include a small piece of writable material on a fixed spot (or better yet: 2 fixed spots). This can be written with the serial after pressing. Be sure to set up a system to replace the disks after the customer finds out the disks won't play after a couple of years (because the writable stuff is not forever)
So if I pirate I see another movie than when I buy legally? Now, The Matrix is far more fun than that other movie seems to be so I'd prefer the legal road, thank you very much.
Assuming you buy them to rip them you aren't even a movie "thief". You paid for the content. Assuming you are not spreading it (over the internet or by hand) you aren't even doing anything that's illegal in the Netherlands.
Sadly I am incompetent on this part, but wouldn't it be useful to have a user generated content site with these details of disks? Things like "Unskippable ad time", the quality and duration of the extra's, what subtitle/audio languages it has, what region it is. Stuff that I want to know when buying a disk (my parents require Dutch subtitles before buying a disk, Amazon doesn't give that data, sadly). Coupled with a link to the IMDB entry and links to Amazon and stuff like that. Sadly I have little knowledge of this stuff (despite being an avid/. reader).
That severely limits the max power you can stick in a standard bulb size space. Keep in mind that each led doesn't only need space to be in, but also a driver circuit(wich is bigger than the led itself, if done correctly).
The full colour IP 65 with IR remote (5m) I bought a while back cost me E80 on a discount website. The dutch site I bought them at. The light intensity of 3 of them is "mood light". Not enough to read by but enough to have a background light while talking or watching a film.
Watch a movie you've seen a couple of times while exercising with weights and other at-home exercises. You don't have to focus on the movie to follow the plot (you've already seen it) and it prevents boredom. Getting bored while exercising will prevent me from doing it again.
It isn't supposed to protect you from people who want to use it to kill you, it's supposed to protect you from accidents. Protecting you from people who want to kill you is a tad more tricky. Dunno how it is in the USA, but here in the Netherlands the first part of aquiring a drivers license is learning the traffic laws. As it is I have a lot of discussions about the traffic laws here, so I extrapolate that without a drivers license most people wouldn't know the rules and the streets would be a mess. By the way: a pool or a bathtub isn't as dangerous as a car.
The dip when the planet is covering the sun shoud be bigger, assuming the sun is hotter than the planet. Sun before planet => intensity = intenisty of only the sun. Sun behind planet => intensity = intensity of the sun - intensity of blocked part of the sun + intensity of the planet sun and planet besides eachother => intensity = sun + planet
Every electronic will fry from a large enough EM source. Assuming those rules are sane, it includes a power level the device should be able to handle. These scanners are not monitored by the FCC. This means they can output more than that power level.
Any object that can be lethal to others on accident (a car, a gun) should require a license to use and to have. Most people are morons who do not know how to use dangerous objects safely. The license should at least require the knowledge of how to use it safely. I am glad it's difficult to get a gun in the Netherlands. I am glad it's difficult to get a drivers license in the Netherlands. Gun included based on your signature.
The right amount of CO2 is good. A bit more won't hurt. A lot more is bad. See it as water: Water is good for you, if you don't have it you'll die. If you have the right amount of water you live. A bit more water than you need won't hurt. Drowning (to much water) is bad. One of the big questions with CO2 is: what is a little more than the right amount and what is a lot more (the right amount being what we have had for centuries)?
Most people don't know how to do that. It looks like a giant task if you don't know how. And where would they host those services? On their own PC? That's usually off (or not in range of a network if it's a laptop). These things are more difficult than they seem.
No you haven't. There are brands that claim to be 90W equivalent bulbs but if you look at the lumen output it isn't equivalent to a 90W incandescent and/or those were CFL's. Asuming the bulbs you mean are leds: these Philips leds have 1700 lumen. 90% of that would be 1530. I'd be surprised if they emitted 1000 lumen.
It isn't the leds that can't handle the on/off switches, it's the electronics. Having said that: leds have far simpler electronics (as opposed to CFLs). They could probably be made quite cheap and extremely reliable. PWM powersupplies aren't expensive in low wattage ranges.
So if you use CFLS or leds instead of incandescents you can have an awesomely big TV without using more power overall? Sounds like a relatively good idea to me, since the most likely alternative would be an awesomely big TV AND incandescents.

This handy flow chart explains why

Licenses ensure everyone at least knows the basics of safe driving. That's reason enough for the shitload of cost they bring.

TL bars were already very common way before CFL's were concieved of (at least here in the Netherlands).

Cosmic bacground radiation was emitted as infra red. It just has a massive redshift.
Everything above 0K emits infra red.

"Why?"
"I don't trust those scanners"
Fact checking is outdated.

Is that including 3d surcharges, IMAX surcharges and justbecausewecan surcharges?

Harry Potter would be relatively mild. It could be twilight!

I don't think they'll be laughing. It'll be more sadness that people used to think that way.
