No humming birds anymore. Flowers are here but no birds show. My 10y old has never seen a humming bird outside of the zoo. Used to be many kinds of them flying around the area. Not many song birds ether. I have to have an alarm clock to wake up now. The birds are not singing in the rain anymore. I used to feed them but they just become food for my cats if I feed them too much. Dumb birds knock the food onto the ground and then go and get it. Only to become food themselves.

Grow milkweed. I like Butterflies! Bees love my Bok Choy. Fresh running water is also good. Let your yard grow over every year. (Fuck the city codes!) Compost your leaves! Don't let them float into the water shed. They get to the lake and oceans and make bio-explosions that kill off much higher life; then crash into a toxic wasteland(water.) Nothing lives until it disperses. Protest your city/county doing spraying everywhere. The mosquitos are needed to help keep the human population under control. (Not joking.) Also we can't evolve without the DNA/RNA influx from the viruses they bring into our blood stream. We need the spread of genes to keep the world healthy. Keep dead trees standing for as long as possible; for the owls, woodpeckers, squirrels, etc. When you down the tree then leave some logs in a damp place to grow fungus for the critters to eat. The Coons around here like the mushrooms and the shoots of the elephant plants. Roaches also love mushrooms and dead leaves and wood. Anyway could go on. You get the idea. Observe your surroundings and you will learn much without some Sci-Guy telling you the sky is falling.
