That's exactly the point. Dynamix did not make enough money. If they did they would have stayed alive - nobody kills off the cash cow.

teachers are not hired on supply and demand, but on the state/town/provine's school budget

of course supply/demand works. Best teachers go to the best-paid jobs. Lower Marion High School pays $65,000 average salary. It's also consistently one of the top public schools in the country.

Obviously where you live education is not a priority - demand is low, that's why salaries are so low. If you don't like it - you can do something about it. You can vote, run for a city council member or whatever is the way to change the facts you don't like. Finally your wife can move where her work will be rewarded better financially. I'm sure as an IT professional, you'll have much less trouble finding a decent job most anywhere.

You're kind of making my point yourself. The only way Microsoft could really catch up with Netscape was by giving away a product for free. Sure, they were competing on price - they had to, to survive. The price was zero. Now, imagine they had to do that with all their products. They wouldn't survive long.

A lot of companies do just that. For me IE is just a HTML viewer - no different than Adobe Acrobat Viewer or Flash plugin or Real Audio Player or MS Word Viewer.

This would require an AA missle capable of making a reletively tight 180 degree turn and still be able to hit its target.

If the target is really close behind the missile can just slow itself until it's right behind it and accelate again to hit it.

    No it doesn't.

Tough both come standard in WinXP. U can get rid of IM by editing SYSOC.INF and removing hide from it's line. After that u can simply unistall it from Add/Remove Programs - Windows Components

For some reason I don't get Hotmail ads neither at work(W2K) nor at home(winXP) both on OE6. My thoughts:

    1. MS stopped pushing ads
    2. OE6 does not display ads
    3. I'm just really lucky.

Anybody know more on the subject?
