I guess we'll have to change the standards by which judges are...well...judged. The American people, based on the recent rise in assaults on judges and lawyers, are not happy with how the system is working.
Maybe if these 'judges' knew that they could be lynched at any time...they would put a little more effort in. A judge has got to sleep sometime you know.
How about educating dumb-ass people to, you know, not fuck arround with fire? I've got smoke detectors all over, and escape plans. Let Darwin sort them out.
As a scrawny nerd in high school, being bullied by those larger and more popular than I taught me a valuable lesson. I learned to hold grudges and to plan and wait for the best moment to exact my revenge.
In today's society, this seems like a valuable skill to have. The legal system is too expensive for what you get, so you might as well DIY.
That is all that matters. Corporations shouldn't have rights, so I don't give a shit about what Microsoft's 'rights' are. Corporations have their special privledges because these privledges are supposed to impart more value to the citizens of this nation. When a corporation uses its privledges to profit at the expense of the people, they should be punished.
Of course, Microsoft is one of the few American companies that still produces things for export...the government is always going to give them special treatment.
Record from TV, cut out commercials, burn to disk for pleasurable viewing.
I buy movies, but I rip them and modify so the menu comes up as soon as the disk is spun up, and the movie plays without the assinine anti-piracy shit. I paid my money, I'm not going to be lectured every time I watch a movie.
In fact, I'm starting to get into downloaded movies...for many of these reasons. If I pay $25.00 for a DVD I don't want to be lectured every time I watch it. I want to stick the disk in and within seconds see the movie begin playing.
I can't even stand the 30 sec commercials they use on the big network news sites. When I see that lame ass camera icon next to a story link, I move on to something else.
But I bet Don Imus wouldn't call an NFL line man ugly even if the dude looked like Sloth from the Goonies. It was a cheap shot, probably didn't merit being fired, but when the money dries up...they're not going to keep his show going. Many of his sponsors jumped ship and there were very few who came on board.
Because these guys HAVE to know that when they are forced to parrot the party-line, that the war-supporters back in the states are using that parroting to discredit peaceniks as 'being against the troops'. Its late and I'm not forming this thought correctly, but that is the gist. They are being ordered to give Politically Correct opinions about the war on TV and in the press that they might not actually believe, for the purpose of manipulating the American public into supporting the war.
I understand WHY they do this, but it still isn't right. Something needs to change so that men in uniform can express their true feelings about the mission they are on. Otherwise the entire military becomes a political pawn used to manipulate the American people who are very very fond of those who stand up to defend them.
Why is it that when the news programs, even Fox News, do their "Lets hear from the troops", the vast majority of the statements toe the Bush Administration's line?
Just like the people of this country scratched their itch for revenge against the 9/11 hijackers by supporting the attack on Afghanistan because they believed the terrorists originated there.
His actions have condemed upwards of 100,000s of innocents to death. All in the name of bringing them freedom from a genocidal dictator...but only after the claims of al-quieda connections and yellow cake acquisition and ownership of WMDs were dismissed as lies. He fired experts that predicted all these current problems in Iraq
No...I'm too angry at his idiocy and treason to agree with you.
Cameras? You really think that could or would stop the vandalism? Whatever makes you sleep well at night:)
As for my fellow students...we were the nerds and got hassled anyway, and the others didn't really want to use the computers. When the lame 'administrators' couldn't get them to work properly, we didn't have to work! Now if we had vandalized the gymnasium or the sports fields, then we'd have some trouble 'on the school yard'. Well, we would if High School students got recess.

Fif! Fif! FIF!!!

I'm the one who climbed the corporate ladder and delegate the boring code-work to developers in India and Brazil.
Keep workin' on that MBA...

We either let every company produce what they want and play catch up when we get a Love Canal-esque situation, or no progress will ever be made.
I see where you are coming from.

I guess I'm greedy.

It makes me sick thinking about it.
'Cause you didn't just drink the kool-aid, you got a colonic irrigation with the kool-aid!
Your trolling could use subtlety.
Shit, Cheney was on Rush's show regurgitating that old lie about Iraq having Al-Quieda connections just last week.
If you cling to something in the face of evidence against it...you are complicit.
I understand WHY some people willfully delude themselves into thinking the excuses for war are still valid...but that doesn't make it right.

Are you against revenge?

Bush himself is 0 for 4 with his excuses for starting an optional war.
At least it's mostly Bush voters suffering in Iraq...not that it makes a dishonorable conflict any more palatable.
This man deserves to suffer for his abuses. What better way than to have his children die before him.
...don't blame me!
I hope that Bush has to bury his slutty daughters.

When the access was restricted, we were pissed. It's amazing what kind of damage can be done to a computer even if you cannot enter the case!
So, it's actually cheaper than Amazon. Not that a few bucks here and there matters...it's the principle.
Ever since their A9 thingy went to Windows...I've not spent a cent there. b&n.com FTW.
