    I understand the Constitution, thanks, but filing a petition isn't the same as having lobbyists go to DC to skew policy to benefit themselves, their company, or their line of business...it's to petition to do something while showing the good it can bestow. Read Animal Farm and see how things devolve from doing things for noble reasons to doing things for personal gain (e.g. where we're at in DC).

    As an American i take offense, yet the entire concept of lobbying for anything is idiotic...let politicians decide on what's best for their constituents, not who will give them the most money or kickbacks.

    He was facilitating criminal activity...akin to me hosting a site that allowed drug dealers and drug users to meet. Though I sold no drugs I should be held liable, at least in part, for my actions that caused harm to the parties involved.

    What if TPB was a website that linked people together to buy/sell crack, would that be ok? TPB facilitated crimes...even if you don't like copyright laws, without them we'd have a lot less quality stuff as incentives to produce would be diminished.

    No kidding. I wouldn't even say "he hasn't missed a field goal in 43 attempts, this is a chip shot" because you'll put a rook on it and fail somehow. Heck, the US Government can't even put up a fricking (healthcare) website so how can they expect to succeed at making a "hacker proof drone"? 'Mathematically-proven" is like using the word "clinical" in front of a toothpaste...means nothing other than to hype a product...

    When I switched from Honda to Nissan I couldn't use my stockpile of Honda oil filters...should I sue Honda for not using the same oil filters as everyone else? WTF is wrong with people expecting iMessages (obviously an Apple take on messaging) to work on BlackBerry, Android, Windows Phones, and every other phone out there? It's idiotic.

    At what point does something convenient and free like iMessages become a mandatory expectation across all devices known to man? Why not say Microsoft MUST make it's Office suite run on my PS4 or on my iPad...sue sue sue until they do it because it's their fault. [/sarcasm] Seriously, everyone needs to stop suing for everything.

    Safari isn't nearly as light/fast as Chrome or Firefox 29. When Safari was initially released it led all browsers in terms of speed.

    I meant, like iTunes, Safari began as a focused and snappy product. Over time it lost focus and became bloated. Not to the extent that iTunes bloated, but still it lost a lot of what made it good.

    I agree...but there are many in SlashDot who feel compelled to attack religion for whatever reason. I myself am religious but I also enjoy reading books on science, physics, economics, politics, etc. They are not mutually exclusive and I see the benefits of going to church, reading the Bible, or talking to other like-minded people. It's hope, it's the possibility that there's a grand plan, there's nothing wrong with that so long as you keep things in perspective.

    ...and the various races are different as well (didn't see that part). We all (as populations) are better or worse at certain things, although individuals of any race or gender can excel at anything. Again, we need to ensure everyone has the opportunity to excel...whether or not they do is up to them.

    Why do we all need to score the same or have the same fill rates in the various skilled jobs? Can't we all just agree that boys and girls are different and will excel at different things? Why does everything always have to be equal? So long as girls have opportunity to take science, math, etc. with no stigma then we've done our part.
