    where I live, 96.2k a yea is like twice the median income of my state, I don't live a lavish lifestyle but I got a nice plot of land with a decent house of appropriate size, pay all my bills on time and have leftovers to either stash in the pot or buy things I want ... within reason

    another "Tech" misnomer, you got to live in outlandish places to be in it, I work for a 6.2 billion dollar a year multinational, I dont make 96k a year, but I live in a state where the median is 47k. lets be realistic for a moment, the median for the entire united states is 57-59k, not making 120 and living in a box van in the parking lot sillicon valley, new york or other extreme outliers

    Here's the situation the last time I went to Target, I walked, didnt find anything remotely close to what I was looking for, and left, endless isles of crap I would never buy, but something simple like a toy xylophone no dice

    but if I wanted one of those shitty crosley radio's or a can of brasso ... shit they didnt even have a fucking can of brasso, glass polish, plastic polish granite polish, stainless steel polish but no fucking brasso!

    I try not to be a naysayer in regards to Musk, but his adventures tend to take a lot longer than intended and a bit oversold to the public ... now I see a lot of pots on the fire.

    There's nothing indicating that all this is going to go wrong, but there's no evidence that the company has learned a whole lot about how large complex device manufacturing works either, hence, skeptical

  22. I use mine while traveling, and yea its a pain in the butt to carry more shit around when I have to actually go on a trip, I got a charger, headphones, battery pack cause my stupid thin phone has a grand total of jack shit battery life

    and the killer of it all is that stuff is cheap, go to a conference, you end up with a entire bag of cables, chargers, headphones, battery packs and all sorts of other junk ... and yet companies want me to pay out the nose for a dongle I use 4 times a year and will loose after the first time

    my LG G6, which I hate and its a slow chunk of crap, just tells you to plug in a set of headphones for an antenna cause FM radio is not that hard to pick up

    That doesn't really help if the receiver part of the chipset is just terminated, but it really wouldn't kill anyone to enable that feature in the future
