PageRank states its pupose. I got a kick out of this.
"Integrity Google's complex, automated methods make human tampering with our results extremely difficult. And though we do run relevant ads above and next to our results, Google does not sell placement within the results themselves (i.e., no one can buy a higher PageRank). A Google search is an easy, honest and objective way to find high-quality websites with information relevant to your search. "
haha, no one can buy a higher page rank. Isn't this what they are doing in the long run? Sheesh, what a sore lus3r...
I also agree w/ that. I have a 16x4x32 Yamaha in my home system. Had for over a year now, and it is plenty fast. This is now a replacement consideration.
I agree with you. I have had a SCSI Plextor 8x4x20 that has lasted for almost 4 years. Never burnt a coaster to my knowledge. I too would like to see this in SCSI.
For one reason, companies are the primary users of SCSI and thier expensive counter-parts. They can afford it! This drive in SCSI would definately have a use here for my backing up servers. (And I could listen to CD's with the 1/8" Jack and Volume control when I am not using it for backups!(See previous post))
I am just wondering how many more Atapi drives have to come out before they phase of that stupid 1/8" Jack nad Volume control that no-one uses. Would make them easier to paint and mod.
Of course everyone reading this probably uses them. I personaly never ever have.
I would agree. I was in a Cisco course in 99' when we discussed the "new" wireless 802.11b. Everyone made a case study of a wireless network, and in presentation, everyone was questioned about encryption, and security between buildings. Most respond with a testing phase. To "see what would happen if" we did it this way. I seriously doubt there will be a severe loss or comprimise of "important" data due to drive-by hacking. Unless they truly don't know what they are doing when they constuct such a wireless network. On the other hand, it will take years to evolve a secure enough wireless network, and there will be an increase of "drive-by hackers", but will it really be more of a threat than the common hacker 5 years ago?
AMD were the ones who made Intel's chips. It was not that long ago when AMD was able to make it on there own, and Intel as well. AMD didn't steal anything.
Do you really think alcohol will solve these problems in your head? the pot??? Man, you are wack! but, being my roomate and all. I guess I am stuck with the second hand pot smoke for now. just as long as you share those Kaluas!
High voter turn out? Didn't want another Clinton..

Election Wrapping Up

I think the reason the voter turnout is so high is because A LOT more people wanted to be a little more cautious so we won't get another Clinton. Or they are really wanting another Clinton. It goes both ways. Clinton unintentionally put a lot more veiws in peoples minds on what happens when you vote, or don't vote. That's why more people really researched thier candidates this year! That is also why it is much closer.
Anyone else tired of listen to a certain stations "projected electorial votes"? It is annoying! And what is this about a decieced man on the ballots in St. Louis??
It would be nice if everyone thought like you. But that isn't the way it is. There will always be the few that can ruin it for the rest of us. Pirating CANNOT be stopped by enforcing "be a good customer". It has to be stopped higher up in the chain. The encoding layer. DVD's for instance, Macrovision and CSS is the best effort this worlds had. It's kind of sad really.
I hear that. but, with something that expensive you can't just add it to a shopping cart and select your quantity and off you go. Did you check out thier site? You have to enter in some personal iformation to just discuss your purchase with a representitive. Like buying a car probably.
So, 640GB huh? how much $$$? I seem to have a habbit of using my HD space whether I have and interest in what I am downloading or not. Oh c'mon, I know you are out there. The space just disappears and the next thing you know you are archiving like 60GB of crap, but you don't delete it? This is the PC Packrat's dream. The question is, how many banks must I rob for something like that eh?
Someone that lives a 50 minute drive from the nearest grocery store, who doesn't have a local ISP, not even the phone equipment to support dial-up, let alone ISDN is going to jump all over this. A farmer can plan, sell, buy, compile large amounts of data and send it through the air and be 200% faster than traditional ways of doing it. These kind of people are what this is aimed toward. They aren't going to care as much about a high ping playing thier UT. This will be good for the e-commerce that never had a chance to in the past.
It does not do full 5.1 surround. in ourder to get get the full surround from DVD's played on the PS2 you need to hook it up to a Dolby Digital reicever with optical digital in, since the standard audio-out plugs don't support it.

Would aslo replace my 8x Creative DVD-ROM.

In the great words of Lewis Black:
"We've got rockets, we've got plastic wrap... Fix it!"
Just like a baseball game. For the best. Except it will be much harder to collect all those freebie's. I mean really, is it that much to give up?
Should we induce stipsearching? Could cause an uprising in Comdex popularity.

I love that part.
I hear you man, So far, I am able to trust ABC. the numbers look acurate. wait, how would I know? I am watching ABC on TV! F*ck!

I agree, FOX has been "projecting" out thier asses for 2 hours now, and there is still 3 hours left! Not fair for the west cost...
Comedy Central man, Half-Baked is on. and Jon Steward on afterwards for some decent coverage for once.
It's disturbing that things like that can happen. Rather sad.

The PS2 is does NOT support progressive scan YET. Sony intends to add prograssive scan output sometime next year...
