One difference that I know I'll appreciate is it's pc card slots that will "allow it to hook directly into a corporate network." I would love to load some network tools onto one of these. Nothing like going to a downed site and fixing the situation with your PDA.
duffbeer is pointing out a troll, any you mod him down for trolling? You should be ashamed, he was helping you see this cleverly disguised troll. When someone gets this excited about floppy disk Technoledgy, warning bells should be going off.
Imagine what the cooler-than-heck Linux Router Project could do with these!
I'm going to guess that nobody is going to use this drive with the LRP. Yes, we will do anything to fit more functionality onto our measly 1.68MB floppies, but spending money is strictly forbidden. The cost of one of these suckers would be better spent on an actual router.

I'm surprised this article has the humorus foot icon. I was hoping for an 'ask slashdot' to focus people on the task of figuring out what IT could be. From the clues offered in the articles I would have to assume that IT offers a better way to get from point A to B. My guess is that the man has engineered a replacement for the internal combustion engine. Maybe he has figured out a way to fit a hydrogen powered turbine under the hood of a car. Whatever IT is, I want one now!
After reading those logs and Signal 11's Farewell Speech, I would just like to say.
1)Goodbye you idiot, your/. devotion is scary.
2)Moderation works for me, I hardly ever see your posts.
3)Going to k5 is not your answer, therapy is.
