Mar 14, 2001 --- A judge is expected to issue an official pre-trial ruling limiting the scope of Rambus Inc.'s patents in the U.S. court case against Infineon Technologies AG, according to industry sources close to the case.
Yesterday, sources told Electronic News a ruling had been made. However, no written ruling has yet been issued, but ?an order is in the making?, a court clerk said today.
Hmm, your right, no OFFICIAL ruling has been made yet
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
You can if they signed a agreement to. Most/.'ers forget that the dorm agreement does alow the school to come and and take anything out of the room whenever they wish. (btw, they had a warrant)
Please, learn something before you spew your nonsence. First some background on me. I work on the computer program that runs on AWACS. I have seen what the system can do. The F-22 will not run any active systems when on an attack run. All of the detection is left up to us (awacs). and the radar system on it sucks, its only an plainer two pass (hard to explain).
And IFF is used by every single airplane in the air, not just NATO.
Forget about jamming, if you are actively transmitting a signal, everyone who has passive radar on (witch is eveyone in a air battle) will be able to pick you up. And you have the same problem with jamming.
Please, do you think that they use IFF during Combat? They dont, AWACS is the ones in charge of the whole air picture. It is their job to inshure that there is no fratuture.
I dont know where you think the Government gets their toilet seats at but we (the military) get them 15% off at home depo as with every thing else there.
You have the words smart and Government in the same setence. More so that setence gave credit to the Government for being "smart". that is one thing that I thought I would never see on slashdot
You do realise that 99% of the kewl stuff in the world was developed for the military/goverment or at least with grants from the goverment. The Internet, Computers, cell phones, satalite communications, Radio communications, Aerotech (the jet engine), Nucular Power, ENCRYPTION, Swords, Full Plate Armor, The Rifled barrel. umm, I got off on a tangent here, sorry. But anyway i hope you get my drift.
And just to worry you even more, I work at the 552 CSS at Tinker AFB in support of AWACS (cool bird btw, come here I want to Irradate you!!!!) and we have heavy use of software that its later versons are GPLed, alot of the stuff we run is older the the GPL its self. Scary
I asked my self the same question when I got my MS Intellimouse Explorer (the big gray one) and as a joke I called Microsoft and asked them about drivers for it to run under Linux. They pointed out a like on their webpage to the SOURCE!!!!!!! So I don't think that it will be too long and somewere (maybe even On MS's page) we will have the source for it.

A private school is not Congress

This is remarkable, but understandable. AOL does not want to be responcible for anonymous users. Kinda interesting if you ask me.

NASA didnt get a cut, the actualy got a 2% bugdet rase. And money to the Military is to get them off of food stamps.

you mark it as a special point and keep an eye on it and hope nothing comes out.
Sanchi
It is very hackable, thats why we dont use it during attack missions.
Sanchi
I ment IFF not jamming

I cant speak for the Army, but the Air Force's Encryption is changed quite often, it's probally classified.
Sanchi
I like the Encryped RF that they use now
