The first time around, yes it takes a while to level. My first char took 50 days of playing time to get to 50, my 2nd char to 10 days to get to 50, my 3rd char too 10 days to get to 60. Every time around it gets faster and faster as you learn how the game is played
We (Americans) has the best trained military the world has ever seen. But we will not mount a ground assult without air support. The bombs are being used to take out AA guns, SAM sites, Air fields, comunications and electricty. Air Power can not and will not win a war alone. It is a joint effort of all bratchs of the military.
That being said, this will not be an easy war. These are grizzled fighters, fighting for what they believe. We have made alies with the Northen Allience and most of the other countries in the world. The conscrips that the Talbin has forced into service have already started to desert to the north. These people know the land and will will this war for us.

Yes we have the regular bomb threat practice and the runs Tornado Shelter, both practice and real, I'm stationed At Tinker AFB in Oklahoma. Its a very, for lack of a better word, "Interesting" Job.

the software that NASA uses on satalites, the shuttle and the ISS are the closest to bug free that there is. Software that runs embedded systems like life support and ATM's are also very good. That is the ONE strength of ADA (god help us). Thankfuly the military doesn't have me working on that stuff, I work on the E-3, posibality the greatest computer hack off all time, TD-Gen makes brainf*ck, mindf*ck or what ever it is and intercal look like basic. 767 AWACS mod (the E-3's date from the late 1970s, and have early 1960's airframes. . .).
Actualy its a 777 design, the currant frame is a 707, old but works.
