"Microsoft mentioned that some subscribers were hosting movies and large files on the service"
You mean they... they... they were using what they were giving? Those greedy bastards!
"Why in the hell are schools requiring students to use Chromebooks?"
Cost. Less technical problems than MacOS/Windows/Linux. Easy to collaborate with others, etc.
And yes, I'm the IT guy for a school handing out Chromebooks. Two full time IT employees, 1500 students, 300 staff. Chromebooks just do the job well.
Yes Sir our code is breakable, you just have to brute force it for a few thousand years or have a REALLY fast collection of computers. Do you have that Minister? Oh, you don't? Well, it's still breakable, just not by YOU then:)
It took me a while to get use to them, about 6 weeks. Then when it was time for new glasses I tried going without them. Didn't make it to the car before I realized how much I needed them. Luckily they only charged me the different to get them again.
How is this news? I work at a public school (in IT) and we've had this option for a number of years (just opted to go with pin number instead, cleaner and cheaper) so I would expect many schools have been doing this for a while.
so... it only matters who does it first? Well then... about your android phone...
Yes but that's OFFICE, not Windows. You can easily run Windows 64 bit and Office 32 bit.
After all, THEY let the bad guys ON TO the Internet! I'm sorry, I feel for these people but come on...
You could use just MS Office on Mac or Linux... or just use Google Docs.
1% the speed of light eh? and yet my g/f complains I go to fast ;)
Um... where they forced to accept credit cards? If you are accepting someone's 3rd party method of payment, aren't agreeing to THEIR terms?
Agreed. There's also a big different (IMHO) between being given an activity tracker and seeking out out yourself.
Well, squid porn CAN be quite popular ;)
Even I know he/she means the Mac MINI was from 2006, not the iPhone 4
hour means you're just fine. Go figure.

Many people re-use the same password so in theory, getting someone's netflix password could get you into other sites.

Only if you chose to use a 4 digit passcode. Mine is much longer. Plus, you only have 10 tries.

"airplane mode"? Hey, I want to be able to FIND my phone, not lose it in the ocean :)
The biggest? Really? I'm hope your using humor.
What does desktop vs. laptop have to do with it? Plenty of people use SSD's in desktops (I sure do)
I think the real question is: Will it blend? (sorry, I couldn't resist)
I'm personally not a fan of WebOS but I see this as a good thing. In my minds eye, the very least it will do is be good will for HP.
