Newark's are $35 if I'm not mistaken. Not sure why -- they could be making a killing. Maybe they realized that if the prices go higher, no one pays them.
You're telling me that neither Three Mile Island or Chernobyl was a problem, and that coal plants are worse? There is virtually nothing that can be done about a leak except kick everyone out of the area. That us unacceptable.
I can think of enough written about situations that have actually happened -- no theory necessary. The fact that what has happened so far can happen is reason enough.
Kubuntu 8.10 is the first one that has worked well enough for me to rely on suspend. I can qualify that a bit by saying that the others worked out of the box too, but subsequent hacks to get parts of my machine to work undid that apparently.
Regardless of this idea that "there are 10 people in line," it's in reality a big pain in the ass to replace someone if they're doing the job well but refuse to take unreasonable shit from the boss.
I think the screen area is larger than it looks, but when the screen is not illuminated, it is invisible. The area with the battery, etc., is part of the screen but does not look it as there are dark pixels surrounding it... sort of the way that old MacOS made the screen look like it had rounded corners when it didn't.
I don't know if you're being extremely specific (original codebase vs. original UI) or what... but Palm still sells at least two original PalmOS phones, and really the only thing they've done is run Windows Mobile on some of their newer devices. They almost released Palm OS 6 (Cobalt), but never did. How is that anything like what you've described?

Yup. Just recently got some. Told them to get lost.
I remember Netscape 1.22 and not believing that the web had ACTUAL pictures on it, not just textual representations like I'd been used to.
I'm not sure why my Slashdot ID isn't lower. Guess news traveled slower in this days.
I couldn't see them either. I don't know when that happened. Could it be the Slashdotter extension?
But, in his defense, they don't seem to realize it either.

Have you not read anything about failed reactors? I have, and let me tell you -- it scares the shit out of me.
They have clean water in Ohio now?
I have a neighbor who did this, and ditto... though the tree does look really neat with varying brightness lighting on it (directional LED's).
Some Cadillacs have annoying flicker in their LED taillights too.
And for folks actually speaking "English" I'd go with "fewer" electrons.
And there's some really important need to send e-mail for this one hour when everyone's already busy?
Luckily whether or not I get a picture of him that was prepared or one where he's picking his nose is not really a major issue, eh?
Why, yes, it does.
You do know that the Washington Times is a Moonie newspaper, right?
It's actually a lot harder to do under Windows, as well. I think you need drivers or some such.
I don't think I've ever owned a laptop where suspend in Windows was reliable. Hibernate worked pretty regularly though.

And it even occasionally works!

I'm allowed to carry over one year of vacation time (which is either 3, 4, or 5 weeks depending on your years of service). I'm union, however...

As someone else wrote above, there is more than one free solution to the same problem. No coughing required.

Two seconds of actual reading and comprehension would have answered those questions.
