I have worked from my home office for about 7 years there are a lot of advantages.
I get payed the same as those that work in the office although I don't have two 30-45 minute commutes so I save a lot on gas but even more because I only have one car. I would need second vehicle if I worked in an office. I'm probably saving at least $6,000/year in gas, wear and tear, insurance, and a payment on a second car.
I don't need to wear a tie and or dress business and I don't shave everyday either because you can't see me over the phone or voip. I don't buy a lot of new clothes like I did when I worked in the office I wear a lot of sweats or shorts and t-shirt.I don't eat out any where near as much because I can grab breakfast in the kitchen and eat it at my desk while going over my email first thing in the morning. I save probably 2.25 hours a day between time spent driving, and waiting to get breakfast from pick a place.
The spare bedroom I turned into my office is larger than most of the offices I've had in an actual office some where just cubicles, though it does mean I don't have a spare bedroom in the house.
I do have to pay for internet but honestly I would have it anyway... it used to be the largest account offered in my area 100mbps they offer 300mbps in my area now but I haven't felt the need to upgrade yet.
A creditor can't refuse cash for a debt though prior to creating a debt they may require it be payed a certain way like a gas station that won't except large bills and requires you to pay before you pump your gas.
Actually there is Section 5103 of title 31. I had to look it up but already knew it existed. When I was in college a very long time ago I worked in convenience store people would come in late and pump a few dollars in gas so they could break 100s. Now they make you prepay so that you don't drive off with out paying or pump gas and have a bill that they don't have the cash to break.
Enno Aare looks like they may be an indie artist that's just starting out and this article may have just gave them a lot more attention than they would have normally received.
From the comment on their youtube page they stated they were working on making their music available for purchase.
A quick google search and I was listening to and reading the sheet music. They are rather simple piano pieces, common left hand chord pasterns and progressions with a simple melody. The phrases in the melody reminded me of Scarborough Fair.
If you and every neighbor are streaming HD and online gaming after work for 3-4 hours between 6PM and 10 PM then you won't exceed the cap and the network will still lag at that time of day not because a few users are hogs but because everyone showed up at the same time. You want to blame the teenagers that are out of school for the summer and sitting around playing xbox all day, it's not their fault everyone comes home around the same time every evening.
CAPS are a way to create more revenue without spending more.
The DMV told me a deed isn't valid proof of my address, but they excepted a receipt from the post office when I had my mail forwarded. I could easily have my mail forwarded to a relatives house while traveling for an extended period, I know I did it before when I was traveling for about a year.
Who knows what crazy things appear on the visa form.
Most people in my position are salaried but I get paid by the hour and get overtime pay. I probably average 45 hr/week where as my salaried counter parts average closer to 50-52 hr/wk. I make more than most of them not because I make more based on a 40 hour week but because they rarely work a 40 hour week.
It depends on the business. Sometimes the focus is more on project due dates and project success than over time hours spent to meat the deadline or whether you are willing to work through a weekend to put out a fire.
Though I will agree that at a certain point most most peoples work does start to suffer. After about 10 hours in a day I start to get sloppy...
Apparently you don't have the meter I have I can go to the power companies website and see the power used by 15 minute intervals not in real time there is a lag but I can tell how much and when a couple hours later.
social security 6.2%, medicare 1.4%, federal unemployment tax 6%, state unemployment tax variable (2.7% in my state)
I'm not aware of any others that are required but I'm not in payroll so if it's something they pay but doesn't appear on my check stub... My company for example matchs 401k investments up to a certain percentage of your income and $1,000 a year to an HPNA but these aren't required.
I'm certain that if they actually hired 2 millions people to do this that it wouldn't be suspected it would be well known... as if 2 million people could keep a secret.
Unless you are asking for raw cut those will also be.125 planed and.25 inch joiner each side so they will be.75 X 5.5 or.75 X 7.25 (they take a little extra on the stuff 8 and over to square it) and it's maked on the website and in the store if you can find the label.
As a guy who has a woodshop in his garage and very much enjoys building cabinets and the like on the weekends I can tell you that not only is 2x4 ripped to that dimension then planed.25 on each side and it has been that way for as long as I can remember.
More importantly common size and actual size is right on the home depot website when looking at lumber and if you can find the labels it's also marked in the store.
Actually no one debunked it... Global Cooling sure but that's not the point, the scare created by the media was very real.
I do find it funny that I can say the media propagated an unsupported global cooling scare and it's interpreted as global cool is real instead of the media failed to report accurately.
No there wasn't an actual global cooling scare supported by the scientific community in the 70s however there were hand picked scientific articles that the media used to create one in the general public. Then later it was chlorofluorocarbons will destroy the ozone layer. In general the media over the years has snowed over the details they are reporting and gone for the worst case scenario to grab headlines even if it meant re-interpreting the results.
Since I will not be doing any research into the field myself I have to take what the media says with a grain of salt.
You are correct... and I'm surprised not to see more people saying so on this site.

I still got called on sunday...
Convincing them to pay me hourly instead of salary wasn't even hard I just asked and they said "OK"

except cars with start stop features....
They show usage and the price I'm being charged there is no competition so... it's not like a comparative market price would help.

Where are the payroll taxes 25%?
