self driving cars are already safer than cars driven by puny humans.
I don't think you can really say that road conditions vary day to day and by region, I doubt the self driving car has been tested in all those varied conditions.
I could tell you some anecdotes about drivers from Southern Texas and other places that don't get much if any snow driving on snow for the first time or I could tell you about the places where cellular and gps don't work or bridges that have wind gusts that catch even a seasoned driver off guard. Most of the self driving cars I hear about being tested aren't being tested in snow and rain.
I leave the TV on so the dog has some background noise while I'm gone during the day. My wife falls asleep with the TV on almost every evening. I'll let her sleep in the recliner chair until I go to bed and if I turn the TV off she will wake up.
If hulu was trying to average that into a metric it would be rather deceiving because I know I'm not the only one that leaves the TV on all day for their pets or leaves the TV on in the evening when they go out to give the appearance that someone is home.
You have that backwards tax money is an allowance given by the tax paying citizens to it's local, state, and federal governments and as such should be used at those levels prior to any foreign aid.
One of the drummers in a cover band I played with in the 90s and a few other people I knew in other bands. They invited my wife and I but we never accepted. I don't really talk to any of them any more (not because of that I just moved away and got a job) so I have no idea if they are still doing it in their 40s and 50s but I wouldn't be surprised.
There are swingers all over you just don't have as a large of a field to play. I've known a few swingers often times it was the husband that convinced his wife and then it was also the husband that became jealous and territorial.
I never really got into it I've always figure if I was that unhappy or unfulfilled it would be time to move on. That's not to say I didn't order the sampler before I got married.
I've known a few that dealt with their cheater by going out to the local bar and finding their own thing on the side... it didn't turn out well for them.
I know people that are on antidepressants and have been for a long time but the thing that I think is worse is that I know it will never help them. It won't make their boss less of a douche, their job less stressful, their spouse stop cheating, get them out of debt, give them a raise... sometimes you just have to divorce the cheater, find a different job, and file bankruptcy.
Time Delayed safe it would distribute $20 every 5 minutes... I would tell the clerks that if someone pumped gas and tried to pass a large bill make them wait 15 to 20 minutes to give them change even if they had a bunch of customers and where able to get the change faster.
When the company decided to allow us to make people prepay, people would go crazy angry just because they where asked to pay for their gas before pumping. I even had to call the police once because someone started breaking things in the store. Today no one even thinks about it they have had to pay first for probably 25 years.
When I was in college I managed a convenience store before there where atms everywhere and before bars took debit cards people would pump a little gas on Friday night and try to break a big bill. There where signs everywhere that we didn't keep large amounts of money on hand and wouldn't accept large bills to keep this from happening because if they already pumped the gas then you had no choice but to break the large bill.
Today you can pay at the pump with a debit or credit card as well as inside and atms are everywhere. Bars take debit cards and give you cash back on the card or atms inside.
That brick laying robot still has to have someone feed it bricks and mortar so it's more like you can pay the same guys to run it make his job easier and more productive.
I had cable TV, netflix, and hulu and only kept the cable because my sons liked espn but had all of the available channels. I'm sure I was paying for channels for over 20 years that I never even watched. When they moved out I just canceled the cable.
I have a prime account but I didn't get it for movies and tv shows but it pays for itself in free shipping since I do order a lot of stuff living in small town USA.
3.... I've tried various voice recognition software over the years and can say they are getting much better but if there is any background noise forget it.
I quit trying to use siri because when I get in the car and ask siri for directions if my wife is with me I get siri saying "I couldn't find, 102 why the fuck street don't you type in the address like a regular shut up person damn it.
Making something Illegal isn't going to stop a criminal or terrorist. The result is that they will simply use an alternate method without a back door and eventually find the back door placed in the encryption methods by law. This will only make e-commerce less secure.
What if we hide the back door? It's to late for that and it wouldn't work anyway hackers will find the back door and they will use it, finding and creating back doors is their bread and butter.
No, places that have cheap passes usually end up being hang outs for teens and young adults. In my little town there is a skating rink, swimming pool, and the YMCA all you can buy passes to and all are teen hang outs with as many or more kids than our free community center that has indoor basketball courts, gym, and public computers with internet access. I dare to say even without a cheap passes our movie theater is one of the few evening hang outs for teens and is still always packed on Friday and Saturday.
Drunk drivers kill other people though his 250 a day is really far off it's more like 28 and as for your gun deaths the number is much higher though the majority of them are suicides and the number of gun homicides is closer to the number of drunk driving fatalities or fatal influenza.
The sun rises in the east and sets in the west... those little signs with numbers are the mile markers (at least in the US) and they are also the exit numbers...
I always toss the stupid donut out and buy a fulls size rim and tire and make sure there is a decent jack in the trunk when I buy a car. I also recommend checking the spare before going on any long trip you never know what crap you might run over on the highway. Broken bottles, nails, etc... can still puncture a brand new tire.
Even an updated GPS or siri can send you down an out road or to a restaurant that's closed. Happens to me enough that I don't use it unless I'm really unfamiliar with the area.
The minimum wage was also $1.60 my first job I got paid $2.65/hr stocking shelves at a grocery store. the minimum wage just kept going up when I got out of high school
I do a little graphics design for indie bands and most of the time they bring me hand drawn logos or album covers. I create vector fonts for those as close to the hand drawn as I can for them because often times they will want something else later in the same font.
Sorry, a slashvertisment would have nice things to say about the new and shiny not "OMG! They are taking away all my favorite add-ons"

I have always thought that any scientific research that receives state or federal government funding should be public domain.

You could use it to charge your recycled laptop batteries that power the house...

I was going to say aren't the deep cycle batteries used more often for this? of course you get over 100Ah and they start getting expensive.

This is what happens when you hire a Coder with a Masters in Biology.
