    Have a look at the GPM manpage. You can have it write mouse data to a device (/dev/gpmdata iirc), that X can then read from.

    Ehmmm, I have had apps hang or kill my X server, (mainly xv), but shouldn't that still also be an XFree bug? Imho, the X server should not allow itself te be crashed.

    Still, that said, I love XFree.

    I'd rather have it otherwise, but it's true, there's still a short-term future for closed source. Well, ./install. Just as bad as windows.
    But not worse.

    It's just that what is often called time is a space dimension. So the problem isn't that you're late, the problem is just that you're ALLWAYS supposed to be at 52*5*43 locations. (52 weeks, 5 days, 43 years. (Yes, that's an approximation).

    well then tell me the standard way to install a package that works accross all Linux distributions?

    tar xzvf name.tar.gz;cd name;./configure;make all install

    And what's the standard way to install on win? Run install.exe and hope it works? Yeah, that's a lot better.

    Nice idea's, and nice to have some more details. However, at 2mm, does it count as dust? I haven't looked under the bed recently, but I'm pretty sure that dust's a lot smaller. Could this even be properly transported by the wind?

    A few good points, great first article... However, I'm not to wild about the "Its" word. Somehow it makes me think of the abrev IT, which is imho an awfull hypeword too, but nonetheless, I think it doesn't quite bring the right image to mind.

    As for the ASME, I only have one thing to say: HAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHA. Imbiciles... (With apologies to all imbiciles).

    All in all, a very nice "Feature". And not even a bad first feature/first post pun :-)

    It's meant so that someone wanting to send you a message, pulls out your public key and it screams: EXPIRED! at them... That way, they'll go ask you for your new (possibly bigger/different algorithm) key.
