    It improves mine. If you intern at a company doing X, it's usually because you're interested in X. 95% of the time you end up running errands and making coffee and maybe being exposed to X a little bit, sort of by osmosis. These guys took their interns and actually let them play KSP in real life. That's awesome.

    My roommate is in the same situation as you. She continues to mistake me for a chaffeur, So I keep mistaking her for a gas card. Learn to drive, at least. It's a skill. Having a skill is always better than not having it. I agree with you about walking (or biking).

    Doom 1 came on four floppies, Doom 2 came on five, and having to optimize stuff like ram allocation and TSR's meant that some people made a boot floppy (others made an autoexec.bat menu).

    Well, I bought it bit by bit, so the only reason why it never ran on 2mb at startup is that I got all four memory cards in one go :) I was working at a pc repair store at the time and we worked out a pay-in-kind thing.

    The Doom 1.1 demo JUST fit on a single floppy if you repacked it with some odd compression scheme (ARJ? LHA? I forget).

    I had a 486DX33 with 2MB ram for a few weeks because one of the 1MB slot cards had died, and they had to be paired to work.
