I wouldn't say flee... maybe they just passed out from all the excitement and forgot where they were? Here's to hoping :)

At least they'll have the xbox in jail... whoops nevermind. Some people need to have some sort of common sense. Did the step dad talk with the mother? Did he talk with the son before steeping to this level? My guess, probably not. If he lives with the kid couldn't he just check his room for the jewelery (unless of course the kid pawned it off). Hamster must have fell off the wheel with Seal ;)

Agreed with the coward... it's java. I think we can agree that it is not the most efficient language out there, and DocHoncho makes a good point in that it should run faster regardless. I believe the problem comes in that it has to render all the blocks in the render distance selected. However with the latest release the leaf decay is what is causing the lag as of late. If you consider how many blocks the game is rendering, granting 2 triangles per face 6 faces per block so that's 12 triangles per block times the number of blocks... don't ask me how many are rendered. For all intents and purposes lets say a shit ton. The number of triangles drawn is probably more that what is drawn in Quake live. Say it's not triangles but squares (most of the time it is triangles) I'm willing to bet there are still more faces drawn at one time than what is drawn in quake. Just saying there is a lot of math and calls to draw_block() being implemented in an inefficient world.

I've fell in love with minecraft mainly because of the pick up and play that the game is. I enjoy the survival aspect of it though. However I have yet to, in the months of playing it, build a planned out building. I have however restarted the game about a million times. Notch (the developer) has and is putting a lot of effort into the game and I think that it can probably be my favorite time killing game ever. I guess that is my two scents worth on Minecraft On the original post though, as a avid gamer, and one who's girlfriend thinks I play too much I can definitely tell that the newer games are a bit boring and you need to latch onto a series or do your research and play your old favorites until that one new game comes out that conquers all. Good luck from one gamer to another!

I believe AMD and ATI were working on that?

Got that right! I've also heard tale of the APU. I think Intel might be coming out with one as well, but as far as I know AMD is the first. Here's a link to site with some information on it. http://sites.amd.com/us/fusion/apu/Pages/fusion.aspx
