Are software companies somehow immune from hiring competent event planners?
Who needs to hire experienced and competent planners? The cell companies let anyone use their bandwidth and as everyone has a cell phone already, why should we need to pay for someone to tell us that our customers can get on line for free?????
Oh come on, what qualified individual wouldn't jump at the chance to work for someone who is impossible to please
It's more than impossible to please. Apparently Sessions should either have been clairvoyant or used a time machine to predict that he would have to recuse himself prior to the actions that caused the need for that recusal.
Truly a visionary, and he's not just trying to cripple real public transportation projects politically by proposing "cheap", "private" alternatives in order to prop up his car company, so stop saying that.
And nobody is going to believe this one amazing trick that Musk will use on the project!
It's because colleges are the most left leaning places in America. I'd bet more American flags are burned at American colleges than in Russia and all middle eastern countries combined. It's not that republicans hate education.
Flag burning was ruled by the supreme court to be protected under the First Amendment. Why do you hate the constitution?
How much time did you spend thinking about these potential failure points?
Not long because my job requires me to think about man rated safety systems and what I thought up is obvious but not mentioned by the Hyped loop people.
About the same as it costs to maintain the welds on pipelines. Not much, they don't generally 'just fail'. Assuming they were good to start, X-rays tell you that.
But pipelines are easy to segment with valves so you can work on a single section. So unless the hyper loop has an equivalent system they are going to be trying to pump the entire pipeline down at one time - and that ain't going to work well.
So thats a lot more equipment than just a big pipe.
And I know that pipes don't generally "just fail", but on the other hand these hyper loop pipes better have the ability to be cut open very easily in order to facilitate the egress of people trapped inside their tin can when *that* fails. (and yes.. they will break down from time to time unless they are massively over engineered).
Oh.. you mean 54 degrees.. like was mentioned in TFA
The information comes from Etienne Kapikian, a meteorologist with Meteo France, the French national weather service.
Officially, he said the temperature was 53.7 degrees Celsius, which is 128.7 degrees Fahrenheit. Iran’s previous hottest temperature was 127.4 degrees.
The problem is that so many people need money because the cost of medical care is beyond their reach. The problem is that we live in a country where the ability to continue living is something that you have to "earn". The problem is that so many people are callous and devoid of empathy until it turns into a problem for them. The problem is that we refuse to care for our fellow citizens.
"Buy an iPhone and get six months of unlimited talk, text and data on Virgin Mobile's nationwide network for only $1 when you join the 'Inner Circle.' Additionally, customers who sign up by Monday, July 31 will receive a promotional offer of 12 months of service for just $1," says Virgin Mobile USA.
Unless iPhones are being given away then it's a bit more than $1. Also as per TFA.. it's Sprint's network for better or worse. Plus after the promo it's $50/month.
Soooooo.. basically it's another click bait article.
Just now in the EU you need to register your pre-paid.It used to be that you could go any store, buy a card and be done with it.
Back in 2001 I had need to buy a pre-paid cell phone while working in Italy. This requited an Italian resident to show his ID and effectively co-sign for the phone with me. And I can still remember all the paperwork that had to be filled out.
If you watch the video mentioned in TFA you can see the top of the rocket (and the rest of the landing pad) visibly snapping into focus at the 10 second mark. I'm guessing that this is at the point where the auto focus system can finally latch onto something that it can use for a focal point.
But given that the camera is a fixed distance from the landing pad a fixed focus system would have been superior in this instance.
Also, their claim to be "listening to what the community wants" is bullcrap. What people want is a language that can run on Android, iOS, and desktop. Currently, the only language that can do that is Javascript, which sucks.
There's this company you may have heard of called Microsoft. It's got this program called Visual Studio that you can use to write programs in a language called C#. It has this crazy feature where you can write one version of code and deploy it on iOS, Android, and Windows. Maybe you should check it out someday?
Don't look at it as population numbers alone, but as energy used and pollution produced per person. The U.S.A. is a problem.
I agree that the US is an energy pig, but there are two counter points:
1. The US is only 5% of the worlds population, so people in China and India only have to use 1/7 per capita energy of the US and already you are equally the total energy usage of the US.
2. At some point the populations of China and India will start demanding a lifestyle equivalent to that enjoyed by people in the US. When that happens you start to get in deep shit.
I have been saying for literally decades that the US has 5% of the worlds population but consumes 20% of the worlds energy and that when the other 95% of the world start demanding their 20% of energy, the the shit will really hit the fan.
Underscores are not allowed in domain names.
But .. but .. but .. systemd!!!!!!

Clearly by using your email address they intended for you to have the account.
Yes officer that nice person clearly wanted me to use his bank account because he emailed me the details.
Yeah, right.
Oh come on, what qualified individual wouldn't jump at the chance to work for someone who is impossible to please

That's some wacky Trump level BS in just that.
Don't take it lightly!
Is there a problem with Earth's gravitational pull in the future? Why is everything so heavy?

How do I hijack an icon file (*.ICO) to get $7.4M?
I don't know about that, but after that MySpace story today I'm now worried about my ICQ account!
So you can love the constitution and burn a flag, and you can be a "democratic" socialist communist fascist or whatever and burn a flag. Not the same.
So you hate equality and freedom as well?
It's because colleges are the most left leaning places in America. I'd bet more American flags are burned at American colleges than in Russia and all middle eastern countries combined. It's not that republicans hate education.

Money is like energy. Unless there is some huge devaluation event or you actually burn physical notes this money has not gone up in smoke.
What has really happened is that this $1.48 billion has instead ended up in the hands of people other than the VCs or the companies they were funding.
In the words some other group of people is now collectively $1.48 billion richer.
Wow .. the water must be boiling in the streets!

1. Get a nice sound system and a big tent. Head down to the southern US and hold a revival meeting.
2. Claim The Lord is going to put out the Sun if they don't pray hard and give me a lot of money.
3. Prophet!
They already have a cell phone for people like you. It's called John's Phone.

I want one just for the sake of having it!

Queeg was the original ball bearing fidgeter and it's mutiny if you think otherwise.
Organic food is evil.
So does that make the environmental disaster that is fertilizer run off a figment of my imagination?
"Organic" produce use both fertilizers and pesticides, they just have to be derived from natural sources
And your point is?
Organic food is evil.
