And your threshold is your last line of defense. I am leaving my xbox unplugged unless I use it. Which is less and less frequently; and I dont see myself buying any more games for it.
All you have to do is wear a rubber mask that looks like George Bush whenever you are in the room with the gadget. Its a perfectly reasonable trade-off.
Obviously they know its wrong. Obviously they have to lie to get away with it. They have to conspire to get away with it. Yet they do it to extract confessions. Once you understand the basic flaw in human psychology:
Us = The good guys Them = The bad guys (must be true because they are not Us) Us doing something is good because Us = The good guys What happens to them is ok because Them = The bad guys
You tell a group of people enough times they are the good guys, they forget right and wrong.
A friend of mine bought one. Then was so disgusted with it, he had to go back and purchase windows7. Nice for MS to get the extra pip. And sad for MS because he is doing his best to never ever purchase another MS product.
With them as the cable company...comfortably raking in the dough without having to do a thing to earn it. All the while, locking out every competitor they can.
I mean, if you are placing your -children- in the hands of people that are this incompetent, then you better hope they grow up dumb and never realize it.
Even person-to-person emails could benefit. The email clients could include taglines or header information that say "Send me your pub key". A button could popup on your email client, "sender would like your pub key for future emails, would you like to send it?". You press yes, and its emailed to them. All future comms are point-to-point encrypted .
When the alternative is no security and false security. 1. I am not saying use any key server. I am saying that it would be a simple matter to transfer a public key to a website like amazon so that when they email you information it is encrypted with your key. 2. The incentive is that no one but their customers should know what you bought. Heck, if google can scan my emails for order history, then they can SELL that information to people. Even people I might not want to have it. And the vendor that sold it would have to compete against targeted marketing. 3. The email can be forwarded infinetely. Point to point security is the goal. 4. Lets just keep this about orders right now and not general email. Think of this as an "overlay" on top of general email. One that does more to protect customers of sites. Lets even say its to protect customers from mail SERVER intrusion or scanning.
I mean, why doesnt thunderbird or iceferret or basically any client "generate a key" like ssh does when its instantiated. Why cant the clients have a button to distribute the public key whenever its appropriate? I see no reason why this level of security cannot live on top of ssl. "You have just uploaded your public key, would you like all email from us to be encrypted using this key before we send it?"
The most you can hope for is a civil suit. The process and any penalties will be paid by tax dollars to the reporters. Its over. The entire justification for when we STOLE the states from the king of England was that we were going to live system where the people govern themselves. But thats over now: 1. The ratio of citizen to congress critter has risen steadily so that they can walk or run away from their constituents 2. The function of the Senate has drastically changed and more decisions are made there, further eroding the power of popular vote. 2 per state/6yr terms 3. The things we used to laugh at the Russian people for: Corrupt press, Corrupt travel restrictions, Reading Mail, Wiretapping, corrupt law enforcement are all S.O.P for our government now. 4. We used to laugh at the Russians for electing their leaders. Both candidates came from the same party and there was no real choice. Which is what we have here now. 5., We used to laugh at the Russians for infiltrating and subverting democracy groups. Thats what we do here now. 6. We used to laugh at the fact that no one there "owned" anything. With the value of everything here based on an arbitrary currency, it essentially the same thing. 7 There is a defacto get-out-of jail free card for every president in office or after term.
I have worked with the people who "watch over us". They are relentlessly dishonest and always convinced they are right. And they have only one lens to view anything: us vs them. And once you are 'them", they have no morality at all.
Thats all that will come of this. Earmarked endowments and guaranteed income for those who didnt benefit the first go round. Good colleges aint free you know. Esp if you have to afford a mistress and a gambling problem at the same time.
Your src port will always be from x-y on this outgoing IP address. Instead of spreading the users out horizontally by IP address, they could stack them vertically by port number.

Why do husbands and wives and priests enjoy immunity from prosecution for refusing to testify?

GUILTY! in bright lights with a fanfare of music?
Into custody. You are under arrest.

At this point, God, Santa, and the Easter Bunny use google.
And hold the money for him until he is 18? And then give it to him. That would satisfy their policies wouldnt it?

By instantiated, I mean either the first time the product is used, or when the local email setup is created.

The plot logic was just bad. There were too many plot holes. Its a well executed movie. But its a very bad story.
ewww. Kissinger won a Nobel? With Obama, I just chalked it up to wishful thinking. But with Kissinger; thats just stupid.

Try to enjoy your life. Try not to have kids.
See the whole part about them eating human waste and slurry and that stuff you just said? Thats why we dont eat bugs.

Like make the OS learn what stuff we usually read from the drive, and keep that stuff handy. That would be so cool!

between 192.168 and 10.0.
we would be done by now. They should have written an extension, not a replacement.
