McGinn had quite a few facts wrong in the press conference. The equipment is working fine now and the overheating only caused a minor amount of downtime. The major issue though was the backup generator never kicked in because as it turns out, the electric starter for the diesel generator is connected to the same bus. Labor Day weekend was then choosen to fix this majorly obvious design deficiency.
The datacenter is on the 26th floor of the municipal tower and the overheating bus runs up to that floor. The power company in question is municipally owned, either way it would be the city's problem.
I wouldn't quite call gma500 linux support non-existent. I have a dell mini 10 that includes the gma500 "poulsbo" chip and run ubuntu happily on it. While it didn't work out of the box, with a bit of fussing I got it working to my satisfaction. I can even play fullscreen 720p video on the 1336x768 display. The drivers aren't as polished as other chips but definitely far from non-existent.
This is just ridiculous the amount of work they have to go through to half ass archive geocities. Why can't yahoo just hand over a stack of hard drives to archive.org or someone?
According to TFA, Cisco says "it had been negotiating for several years with Apple over a licensing agreement, but that Apple lawyers had not signed and returned the final contract." I really wonder why this "final contract" was so unappealing to apple and they just decided to announce the phone anyways.
This is untrue. It is possible to be off of probation and to still owe fines. Here in Washington State, there has been recent discussion about giving convicted felons who are off of probation but still owe fines the right to vote. Currently if you are finished with your probation, you need to pay off your fines to regain the right.
Wouldn't it work better if there was a beer button at every stool or table. The drinker could simply hit the button when they needed more alcohol. Just because my glass is empty dosen't mean i need another drink right away anyways. Sometimes you need to pace yourself if you want to make it through the night. And the server wouldn't have to remember which glass went to which table because the buttons are always in the same place.
Your theory seems to pass both my tests! Both my father's and my stepmother's passwords are such. I know them because I have configured their computers for years and the passwords never have changed.
Its not that much different than those sites that collect and list internet deals, in the hopes that you'll follow their links and they'll get the referer fee, Like this one [slickdeals.net].
It is totally different than the sites that provide lists of internet deals. These sites refer customers to a site that the consumer most likely would not have gone to if they had not known it was the lowest price. Sites that list internet deals deserve the referall because that is the reason the refered site sold the product. Morpheus has nothing to do with why that consumer went there and thats why it is nothing at all like the internet deal sites. And furthermore, these deal sites don't covertly install a plugin to get all the referalls, they simply have links on a page and provide a service to consumers.
I think that it is probably 10% of the property they seize. They will take your house, your cars, and just about anything that you have because it was probable that you bought them with drug money.
He could of been more specific and mentioned his problem with the gui instead of the os. The new ideas he had would work great on top of the OSX kernel, darwin.
That would definitely be funny if someone actually squatted that name. The squatter would be in a great financial position when open/free software wins and Microsoft's only option to make money is internet porn.
You are correct. I've seen many pills that are sold as containing some mescaline that all test as either 2CB or DXM. They are similar to mescaline but a lot easier to get and cheaper.
Lower heat means a lot more than just overclocking. The low temps of the Crusoe make it unnecessary to use a processor fan. This means cool things like completely sealed laptop cases and lower power consumption. I would love a laptop that was completely waterproof. It would be plain stupid to try and somehow overclock a crusoe which is not even designed to be a high performance processor. If you are looking for pure performance, why even look at the Crusoe?
This sounds like a bad idea. Intel obviously dosen't want people to do smp with celerons, they want people to have to shell out cash for the p2/p3's. If alot of people sign the petition, intel will know how many people are using celerons for smp. Then they will figure out how much money they are losing and this will justify them taking smp out of the celerons.
Just exactly how many countries speak English that weren't once an English colony? Or how about Spanish? People don't necessarily choose a language because it is superior, they choose it because that is what the majority of the population already knows. BTW, how many countries have chosen Swedish as a language?
Radio waves? There is nothing electromagnetic about mechanical sound waves

Don't miss the klingon part near the end of the video! "To duplicate data is a great dishonor!!!"
Why would you use a laptop and a dongle to transfer data over this thing? What was the submitter thinking, why wouldn't you just use wifi?

I'm sure that you will be able purchase an addon card when the time comes that you will need it.

According to this Seattle Times article, Microsoft is in negotiations with EMI to sell DRM-free music as well.

I don't see how either of you above mentioned methods would work from a moving vehicle.

If you were tuned into LSD and knew some party kids you would have already seen this. Now it's time for my drunk ass to fall asleep.
