13 have actually gone to court to be removed, 7 have succeeded, while the other 6 will soon be decided. I think that is the statistic that says it is no longer "virtually impossible" to get off the list. If 1.5 million people aren't trying to get off the list, then they don't matter to the statistic. Kind of like unemployment.

I feel like Sierra Nevada, and Orbital Science never get enough coverage on these things. I mean... I get why Blue Origin doesn't, but having worked with Dream Chaser, and watching Antares launch successfully I think they are both significant contenders.

I've just developed my own algorithm for generating passwords that is based on the specific site and other info. I only have to remember the algorithm to refigure the password instead of memorizing passwords. This allows me long, complex, and unique passwords for every site, without having to store any of them anywhere. Some systems have required password changes at certain time intervals, so be sure to include that into your password generation too. I recommend this process to everyone. (Then again I am a physicist :/)

If you read the actual article (and even the snippet above) it says you have a better chance being hired at HIS companies if you do not have one, based on the percentage of his upper level business people and the degrees they hold. Also in the original interview he goes on to state exactly what you are saying, that he hires based on skillset, and in his opinion the people without MBAs tend to be the more eligible candidates if you ignore degree. His hireing practices are based more on what have you done, rather than what agree you have obtained, since your academic carer can be fixed to an extend by what classes you choose to take in order to bump up your GPA.

  14. Thank you! It is nice to see someone else who has a realistic grasp of radiation! I wish more people would take the time to educate themselves with real science. For those of you who are NOT physicists (I am), I recommend reading the sections on energy, and radiation in "Physics for Future Presidents" I would say the author does a pretty good job of laying it out without using heavy science.

  15. Not many have been made so by any form of power. Recent studies show that more health issues were caused by the stress of MOVING people out of the area of Chernobyl, than ever would have statistically died from cancer than had they stayed there. Radiation is highly sensationalized, and poorly represented in the media and in politics. I wish more people had a better understanding of how it worked.

Only half true. The regulations exist primary as a way to assuage the uneducated public of the safety of said Nuclear reactors. However, the regulations here in the states force us to use a specific type of nuclear reactor that is one of the least efficient, most polluted, and more unstable. This isn't opinion, it's fact. Do some research into the kind of reactors we use, and the kind that are available, then come talk to me about why that is. I will agree we need regulation, but only regulation that assures the appropriate safeguards, not the require we use unsafe, unclean energy.

Not that surprising, considering you can walk around the US, and half the population has no idea what is going on in the world, or their own country for that matter. Regardless of censorship, most people just don't care to care.
