One of the biggest problems I have with Netscape 6 is that you must re-write all the plugins for GTK standards instead of Motif. It's going to take plugin developers a while to convert their plugins to stay Netscape 6 / Mozilla complient.
Will something like this just cause a snowball effect where every state will start looking at the possibility of doing the same. I think it's a matter of time before something like SOF in BC happens here.
I've heard of universities that have hackers that are on the payrole that all they try doing all day is to hack the system. This is their way of testing it's safety.
If you don't want your info given out to other companies don't give it to anyone in the first place. Anytime I submit my info I assume that it's going to be sold to other companies.
I couldn't find it...did anyone see if there will be color for Palm IIIc just like for gameboy color? I know that games only for gameboy color won't be supported.
Cointelpro was in the 60's. That was a completely different time. Granted that history repeats itself I'm trying not to live in a world of complete government power or in a world where criminals run freely. It's just where your balance of government power is. That's why I said in my initial post that I still did not know what I wanted. I see the positives and the negatives to both sides. So at this point I'm "indifferent".
When I say safer I'm thinking on a larger scale then the measures of assault, raping, killing, etc. I'm thinking more of national security. The government isn't going to get into your personal life if you aren't doing something illegal on a massive scale. They don't have the manpower to. I do believe they have the power to stop terrorist, drug lines, and such. Those are things that could possibly be stopped and thus from that we would be "safer"
Just because I still think that we should be able to say anything we want on the internet has nothing to do with the fact that I feel that the government might have some reasons where wiretaps are necessary. These are two unrelated issues. I don't see how I am being insincere, but if I am (as I'm sure you will), let me know.
I'm not sure how I feel on this. On one hand I don't like the government being able to wiretap and interfer, but on the other I feel that everything would be safer if they did.
With all the mainstream mp3 players coming out do you think this will give the government some ammo to try to prohibit copyrighted mp3's on the internet?
They've lost every case so far against Connectix. They probably are tired of spending money on the legal fees. They don't really need to worry too much about it anymore with PSX/2 coming out.
This is great...Overclocking is one of my favorite past times...Does anyone know of a little bit cheaper way of cooling off the board w/o using liquid nitrogen? (and not more fans)
Who's the man that actually gets to say if a storm is perfect or not?
Has anyone heard how many more seasons they plan on doing?

As good as AI is getting I think it's still a while off before we get some that is good enough to truly block it.

This is great. I'm not a big mac fan but sometimes I have to work with it. Now at least it's tollerable.
The reason I know is because I was asked to do this for a major university.

Just remember you get what you pay for. Free software doesn't always give you the support that you would get from one that costs money.
I have an excuse why I didn't call my girlfriend now...
THey picked the right guy for the job at least.
I'm starting to see more and more electric cars. I know at my job they have a couple parking spots where you can recharge for the day.
Since it's a private company, it should be allowed to ban any user it wants.
Linux is free...Review it yourself!

Maybe I missed it, but he didn't talk hardly at all about the possibility of true AI. I think that there is much more to AI then "filecabinets"...

Do you think the Crusoe is a flash in the pan or not?
