At this point it's not really a question of developing the technology, it's already there. It's a question of what is the most economical and what are the incumbents going to do to prevent it devaluing their assets.

Personally I'm quite sceptical of that, I don't think they can get the battery cost down far enough, but we shall see. Maybe they can save money by making the cars extremely basic in other ways.

Now I just rely on search, specifically Gmail's. By remembering some simple syntax (e.g. to:) and with auto-complete I can find anything in a few seconds and don't have to spend any time sorting or organizing. It's a lot more efficient.

The arcade fell behind on graphics some time in the late 90s. Sega started using the same hardware for arcade as for home with the Dreamcast, so you had lots of perfect home versions.
Arcade could still offer things like a proper dance platform or other unusual controls that were not practical at home.
Nowadays the classic games use obsolete hardware that is hard to replicate at home too, which keeps them a cut above emulation.

This is a game where you don't have any kind of health meter or injury system. Stuff materialises out of thin air for you. The whole thing is highly unrealistic and when given the choice will always sacrifice realism for gameplay.
In fact the major legitimate criticism of it is that it's too "Hollywood" and lacks realism.
X sold very well, the best of any game in the series. Well enough to get a special edition and sequel. This is a franchise that has been going since the mid 90s.

It's an online multiplayer game where you respawn when you die, where vehicles materialize out of thin air periodically, and where the objectives have nothing to do with actual historical events. Offering a variety of avatars for this fantasy war doesn't seem like a game-break flaw.

They can't win, if they allow it no-one wants to play their game because if they choose a non-white-male character they get bombarded by anti-sjw trolls, and if they do it the anti-sjw-trolls go batshit.
Meanwhile, you get to hear them dying around you, which triggers very different feelings of failure in men than hearing males perish.
