Hum flamebait and Redundant, this site is loaded woth a$$h*le with mod point who don't know what is a flamebait! For the Redundant point, hum I was the 18th post, when I post an no one speak about this probleme what did Redundant mean !
I not unix admin anymore, I don't say I need office, I use OpenOffice to write tps report and stack them under my red stapler. Photoshop, because I love taking picture of my vacantion (http://denis.b.bergeron.googlepages.com/) and that why I need photoshop. I prefert gimp, because I know it better, but it doesn't support raw files and 32 bits images.
This article speak about Linux, the fact that I use Windows or Mac is irrelevant, but indeed I am thinking about switching to the Mac, but the Photoshop license are not transferable.
1) The article begin with "A University of B.C. astronomer has discovered the farthest cluster of stars ever seen by a human eye " Wait, they don't use they eye, but the Hubble telescope in orbite with a "digicam" on it !
2) And some others lines "That's interesting, he explains, because given that light travels at a finite speed -- 300,000 km a second -- the light emitted from the star cluster he and Kalirai saw was emitted one billion years ago. That means the cluster as it appeared to them two months ago was the way it looked one billion years ago. In other words, they were looking one billion years back in time." No, not one bilion years back in time, but a billion years and two months.
3)More seriouly "It's too early to say what those differences are, Richer said, but he expects there will be several -- colour among them. That's because the older a star gets, the redder it gets, he says. Younger stars are bluer." This is obviouly the colors shift of the duppler effect, and have nothing to do with the age of the star but the speed relativly with us !
Once upon a time, I was a Linux user and zelote, and Unix admin. Since 2000, with all the problem with RedHat not available anymore free, with two Mandrake version with full of problem. I now a Windows User. Come on guy, you can have Firefox, OpenOffice, Gimp on Windows, but, you can't have Photoshop on Linux. And you don't have any application like Photoshop on Linux (raw support, 32bit support, etc.)
"Liberté, égalité, fraternité" also makes for an interesting order of priorities.
You can get fraternity without equality, and you can get equality without Freedom! But, I sail the world and I have wet to see a place where freedom is even emerging.
In 2000 we all travel in flying car without any traffic jam, doctor will be a very knowledge computer, and we will have a pill that solve all the medical problem, and the must important, we will live in a society of leisure, eveyone will need to work only one hour by month.
Now, I travel in my car 1 hour every morming to be closed in a stupid cube 8 to 10 hours by day. I have to way to see a doctor, and the doctor is most of the time unknowledge. The pill he gave me have so side effect that I become more sick, and I have to spend all my time in the cube paying for this. Maybe, if I'm good with god, I will be able to take 5 minutes by year of leisure.
About the "sales figures for the PS3, just word that the company has sold all the units it shipped. "
Ya right, here in Montreal Future Shop has a lot of 20gig PS3 in store, nobody want it, all wainting for the 60gig.
what a failure, why even shipping a low end version (at a relative high price) of a high end console
Ok, Microsoft have doing it, but nobody take it anyway.
all the ancester of this "brain" tel us that in 2000 we will see flying car and a single pill will cure every diseases. So the suppossed expert can say anything about year 2020, they just irrelevant.
...the aspect ratio and even lighting are your enemies. It's almost impossible to shoot a bill or a check stub dead on, at close rage, without fish-eye'ing, and without getting in your own shadow. Sure, you might have a little white linnen box that you use to take your eBay photos, but, seriously, this is a job for a scanner.
When you know nothing about a subject, the first thing to do is closing your mouth and learn.
With any decent lens it's very easy to show anything dead on at close range (not close rage) without fish-eye'ing anything. Only cheap lens and cheap digicam will fish-eye'ing the subject at close range. For the close rage, I don't know.
And without getting you own shadow How stupid it could be, you never know something called a flash.
They giving one of them for every computer they sold and with almost every computer other company seld. When I buy a computer, the one that come with a free HP printer is cheaper than the same computer without the printer. I take the printer, print some picture, and when the ink are empty.. I got another printer. Anyway, I have a cheap and good samsung laser printer for the real thing, and printer photo at pro store are cheaper than printing it at home expectaly with HP ink price !
Well, I have a x64 AMD laptop made by HP. I buy it in last december or november... anyway... It's the first HP computer I buy, after thinking the same way you do. Before buying this one, I go thru 2 DELL, 1 Fujitsu, 2 Gateway, 1 ACER, and 3 others from "I don't remember the company"tm. Anyway, the HP doesn't have any defect. No hot pixel, a working dvd-rw-dl drive, 2 gig of memory.... etc.. etc. etc. and everything in working order. This was the first computer I buy than don't have any DOA (except desktop computer that I made myself).
