I guess it's like using some nmber list for internet banking, which mean they shall use some SecurIDs some day which will make it quite secure.

Personally I think Internet-voting should be avoided until it's implemented by an open zero-knowledge protocol and checkable afterwards.

Well, I also think it's better to move to the voting booth but not because of privacy matters, rather because I consider that it shouldn't be as easy to vote as watching tv.

Who can give a guarantee that nobody tampers with the results or creates a database with citizens voting information?

    In Switzerland ?
They've got some huge concerns about privacy there, they don't want people to feel harassed so I guess they have the will to make it safe.
BTW, as the Swiss president is elected for one year it doesn't make any sense to fake the vote as, on the other hand, the people will surely know how to turn him other in case he does some stupid things.

Now, they'll retain the possibility to vote in the booth so the Internet vote should rather seen as a possible other way to vote mean as as a replacement.

A contrary ruling would have cost entertainment giants like The Walt Disney Co. and AOL Time Warner Inc. hundreds of millions of dollars. AOL Time Warner had said that would threaten copyrights for such movies as "Casablanca," "The Wizard of Oz" and "Gone With the Wind."

Also at risk of expiration was protection for the version of Mickey Mouse portrayed in Disney's earliest films, such as 1928's "Steamboat Willie."

Congress passed the copyright law after heavy lobbying from companies with lucrative copyrights.

Hey, they just could not make that much money out of these so it would not cost them a lot.

BTW, as they retain the original tapes, they'd be the only ones who could be re-publishing these on DVD, no ?

And if not, I see 3 possibilities for them if this copyright were cancelled :
    1. remastering these films for DVD : the remaster would be a new creation that would be copyrighted.
    2. editing this movie as is in order to have some good publicity regarding their altruism ("ya see ? we give this film for nuts...")

If you are only renting the use of the name, the "seller" of the service has the right to not renew the contract or change the price based on the popularity of the domain name.

It depends on the contract itself : it seems that if the w3 grants the registrars the right to decide how much they'll bill their clients, they however seem to want them to stick to the "prioritary renewal" policy.

After all a registrar rents from the public organisation the amount of names it can "sell" in return.
Now, if they just prevent their clients to renew their own domains, then it is either "cybersquatting" or an infringment to the "first come first served" rule.
  25. Licensing vs property... IMHO on California Supremes To Decide If Domains Are Property · · Score: 4, Insightful

I consider using a domain name consists of renting the use of a name from a TLD.
These rents are managed by organisations (companies in some countries though that could be non-profit orgs).
Now, you don't own a name, you just have rented its excusivity for some time.
If it's being hijacked, then your exclusivity has been infringed.
Now, the names are to be used on a first come first served basis which also includes the priority to renew an existing domain...
Finally, if domain names were properties, then they'd be bought forever, until then these rather seem to be licensed... or rented if you prefer.
