I've coded (several years) in C++(mostly), MIPS, and Java (plus MATLAB and Mathematica, if you count that). I haven't cussed at my computer although I don't mind it in general. If you find comfort in cussing at objects, that's fine, but don't project your habits onto other people.
I must be strange, but I've never spoken or yelled at my computer. I seriously don't understand why you would. My computer rarely functions differently than I would expect, even then I don't yell at it. Am I missing something here?
Actually, they are been redefined by that. Language communicates ideas, and if people connect a word to an idea, then that is how it's defined. e.g. I've already adopted your new form of grammar.
>> If the US throws up its hands and walks away, there's no way the US can be blamed for good or ill.
You must be misunderstanding something if you think this is true. People can always blame the US (insert any authority for a general case). The only way a person won't blame the US is if the US happens to do exactly what that person wants (of course they'll take the blame from all the people who didn't want that action).
"The US shouldn't interfere with sovereign nations" + "The US should use its power to stop injustice" = "Just do what I say... unless it ends up badly, in which case you didn't follow my instructions correctly." (Should we interfere in Darfur, Iraq, Iran, North Korea, Egypt?)
How was the poll administered? I tried looking for info on Harris poll and from what I've seen, it seems like crap. Can you can give me a link to their methodology? The wikipedia article reads like an advertisement and all the sources are from Harris itself. (Why do they have ® next to their poll name, I haven't seen that on Gallup?)
I think he expects that the poster doesn't salt the opinion pool before anyone even comments. I agree creationism should be challenged (I'm definitely not a fan), but please stick to facts in the summary.

How is Apple going to replace all the revenue they lose from the trillions of technically informed users who don't appreciate lockdown? Oh wait...
I prefer something open source, like LibreOffice.
The desktop I built from scratch is better in almost every way (I only have 4 GB of DDR3) yet it cost less than 25% of the price of this desktop.
Make it a hybrid plant.
I thought the whole point of wind was that you didn't have to fire anything up.

There's something wrong when people choose their schools as tourists choose their attractions.
Wait a second... what year is it where you're from?
