I *love* this game. A bunch of us used to play this game for 15-30 hours *straight*. Week after week. Never got old. It's a real shame that one can't find it for under 50 dollars anymore. Maybe this is a good occasion for a second printing of both Hacker and Hacker II (SJGames, are you reading this?).
Of course I know how much work and time go into making them. I don't buy, nor do I listen to, mainstream music. If I wanted to listen to that, I would let myself be controlled by MTV and the radio.
IMO, the artist is the most important segment of the music industry, yet they see so little for their work. When a little known band busts their asses to record and put out an album by themselves, I will buy the music directly from THEM so THEY can reap the fruits of their labors, and not some money-grubber.
(1) How many illegal recordings do you own? zero (2) And for how many of them have you actually sent $10 or $15 to the artists? All of them, considering I know most of them personally.
Do you even know how much the artist makes from the sale of a cd (hint: not enough.)? I sure as hell would rather download an album in mp3 format, and send $10 or $15 DIRECTLY TO THE ARTIST, so I can be DAMN sure that the money goes where it's meant to.
You're nothing but a lame pirate. There's nothing rebellious or cool about what you are doing... there are 12-year old kids who do the same thing. Grow up.

FreeBSD at least has very robust Linux emulation. Civ:CTP will probably work with very little effort (Wordperfect and Q3Test both run on FreeBSD using the Linuxmulator.)
I believe that binary swapping between the BSD's is also possible, though being a FreeBSD user, binaries for NetBSD and OpenBSD are usually already available for FreeBSD, making emulation of them unnecessary most of the time. As for the other two, I will defer to users of those.
Can't really explain his music. You'll have to hear it to understand it. It's a real bitch to play for the untrained player, and a real bitch to listen to for the untrained ear.

You could make the same argument for Windows, and we all know that no one is believing it. The fact that ID and others are developing for Linux is because of demand. It (seemingly obviously) has nothing to do with the stability of the operating system.

Your hasty accusations made you the fool here.

last fall, the disk space was upgraded to half a terabyte, so it really isnt the first upgrade in 2 years.
because it's already happened. Do you think the bible thumpers are going to let the media speak bad of organized religion?
let's go down the list:
The crusades.
Jonestown
Waco/Branch Dividian
I'm sure others out there can think of tons of others, all in the name of some faceless "God."
as long as we can have a two minutes hate for Bill Gates, what's so bad about it ;)
wow, i didnt even see you....
how did you get into my closet?
