  1. Re:Sci Fi TV on Best Sci Fi Currently On Television? · · Score: 1

Berman was also invloved with DS9 which was the best of all the series, but he blew it with Voyager and it's PC cursed banality. Maybe 3rd times a charm. We can only hope.

  2. Re:Voyager was great! on Best Sci Fi Currently On Television? · · Score: 1

absolutely right. worst ending of all the various Start Trek series. They don't get it right with the new one, I'll be relegated to watching DS9 reruns.

would be nice to not need to have borders, but since China is one of the most repressive, racist countries on earth, I don't think it will happen. A white flag to them is just an invitation to slaughter you. You can count on the fact that they are going to be in need of more arable land some day, and they will have to take it from someone.

  4. Re:Granted, this may not be entirely related but.. on The Pledge · · Score: 1

I second that. Excellent movie. For once the hype from the independent community is accurate. Even if you don't go for Hong Kong Kung Fu movies. Another pleasent surprise was a film I saw last night.... Chocolat. For once a film maker didn't sink to cheap negative stereotypes about peoples religous faith.

Bond films have become nothing more than predictable and formulaic. The only things these films have left is the opening sequence. After that, you can leave the theater and know you haven't missed a thing worth watching. The original Flemming character was much more complex and interesting than the Holloywood version that has evolved over the last 30 years.

You are right, Batman and Batman Beyond are fun to watch, much better than the average toon fluff. I hope the WB can keep the good stuff coming. It's a tough market.

  7. Princess Mononoke on Anime And The Tech Lifestyle · · Score: 1

You might want to check out Princess Mononoke when it finally gets out on video/DVD. Well done animation, very well done story. Definitely not for the family crowd, even though it was released theatrically in the USA by Disney.

  8. Re:You go girl on Anime And The Tech Lifestyle · · Score: 1

My first introduction to Anime was the Overfiend series. I was hooked after that. La Blue girl was/is absolutely crazy. Well done Hentai is the absolute bleeding edge of animation, thats probably why I like it.

  9. Try Blue Submarine 6 on Anime And The Tech Lifestyle · · Score: 1

I saw it at a manga convention, above average mix of 2D and 3D and a plot that keeps you wanting more.

When I was growing up, a term used quite frequently to describe something amateurish and substandard was 'Mickey Mouse'. ABC is truly the Mickey Mouse network, on TV and on the internet.

    >>(unlike Inprise, which is now in the position of trying to drum up community support using an MPL-style license). Interbase has been used by Borland language users for years. Now we don't have to pay server lic. yeah.
