The story I saw on channel 4 was funny. They said this technology was only seen in the movies... I saw this about a couple months ago in Electronics Now.. But the military uses retna scanning on classified project and has been using that technology since the early 80's. I could get the IIS stuff to run worth a damn.. FTP didn't allow anyone to log in and the settings and all that were correct.. Websever.. Well that hoggeg up so many resources... I feel that they are trying to make it compatable w/ everything then make it so stable, then try to optimize the code for speed, size and low resourse consumption.
Try running NT on a 486 w/ 8 meg.. Ain't gonna happen.
Linux is more than happy on an 486 w/ 8 meg.

From what I saw it had a dual fpu.. Which is cool. The interger rate if equaled to a 300 or 333 if plenty fast enough.. If you are doing gaming, A/V, or intense complex calculations, you should have a kicks ass system.. For the gamers inside us, this would kick as in a pc configuration. In a beuwolf situation, it would kick more ass for movie making..... SGI and Pixar would love to use this technology if everything Sony states is true. I'm running on a IDT winchip @ 240, so this chip would kick my computers' ass all over the place. I just think it would just be cool to make a pc/server out of it.. Just to say that I could do it..

Ethernet has diffrent packaging signals from ATM.
