They need a couple of machines build to the same specs. x86, PPC, ect.. SCSI and IDE... All diffrent configurations. Diffrent software packages, web, ftp, games, sound, analysis, etc. Then they have to run a ton of diffrent benchmarks on these systems and really show what run fast...
