I think the whole suicide deal was that the didn't want to pay for what they did. They killed semi innocent people. I blame mostly the media for this. You see this on the news about how one person did this and it happens 3 more times. The media gives these kids the idea. It's like the qoute from 'Young Guns', "I'll make you famous". You shoot-up a school, what's going to happen about it? You going to known all over the world. At the least, 90% of the people on this earth want to be reconized and these people are now reconized. I feel that they are giving these 2 kids what they really wanted.... I read over one of the articals. Kinda of got confused thou about the whole OS war being involed.. If it's universial, then you don't have to worry about the os, beucase it would be a standard and we know that Linux would be the first to have the better support for it. The comments after story sucked, damned star wars 'nuts'....
Hopefully this will open up a new look, being a great competition. Hopefully there will be a couple of free places.... That would be nice! Oh damn.. Forgot that @home doesn't like servers to be ran on thier stuff.. Hmm.. It would be nice just to have a domain for other things.
Ok.. The deaths was a bad thing, but the lawsuit is total bs, the speculation of him having the skills of a high level military sniper from just playing doom is plan bs.. Learning how to use a key board and firing a rifle are two tottally diffrent things. Firing a rifle is much easier than play a DM. But it boils down to the level of the IQ of these people. They are out for a quick buck.. I don't like AOL for using, but it's great for the person that doesn't know much about setting up their pc and all that. W/ these people giving up their time, it keeps their cost down. Imagine if they payed each of them $10 how much their service would cost? $50/month? $100/month? I give them credit for keeping their costs down!
Well depending on how big this thing is... I.E. Jupiter sized asteriod would make one hell of an inpact.. All that gravity and it's high speed and.... You get the idea..
