I find this article especially interesting, as I did a job shadow at Blue Origin last year as a part of my requirement to graduate High School. One of the Employees showed me around the test facilities and showed me the various systems in place to try to prevent this kind of failure from happening. It's unfortunate that this happened, but as the employee told me, most of this is chump change for Jeff Bezos, and Blue Origin is in all reality a pet-project of his. Cool fact though, the Blue Origin Building in Kent, WA is home to an original Bell X-1 as well as the original model of the Starship Enterprise that was used in the episode where the Enterprise gets destroyed, I believe. All sorts of other cool things there too.

I'm a senior in first-year Calculus, and let me say that this is a great idea. Calculus is in fact, mostly algebra, as I have seen. As long as it's not what's called "CPM Algebra" which I had to deal with in 10th grade. So, as long as it's a good curriculum, YES.
I can't imagine the reaction of the guys that found them. "ohh lookie here, I wonder what'es insid-BODIES" or perhaps it was more like "Oh look, he has a gold rolex"
I guess I would have to agree, if I saw my bank posting things everywhere on Facebook and Twitter about me being a member of theirs, I might be slightly annoyed, even though it's more like one of those "technologically-oblivious but still over-concerned" arguments that people like my parents use.
Still I suppose it's better to be safe, because no doubt there's *someone* that would overreact. Oh yeah, and following laws and contracts is good too.
Most of our coinage is already worth more than its denomination in raw materials.....so are we proposing to give (low denomination) paper money the same treatment? I can already see black market micro-transistor harvesting businesses. Either that, or hackers and DIYers are going to start modifying them to make the company whose job it is to track such money miserable. This could almost be fun! If it weren't so 1984-esque....
Oh wait, I forgot, we already have "Where's George?", the voluntary version of this...which is basically a toy, and has no real practical use.
As it turns out, Anonymous isn't a bunch of 16 year old Swedish kids in their moms' basements running the LOIC. No, my friends, Anonymous knows what they are doing, and God spare your soul if you provoke them.
It looks sort of like this one: http://media.photobucket.com/image/enterprise%20destroyed%20model/modman06/Crop3a.jpg ...it was a real model, it was used in filming. I wasn't allowed to take pictures in there though, lots of confidential stuff in there.

I wonder if it includes a copy of CoFEE standard. They have *my* attention.
Time to re-read Apple's iPhone service agreement to make sure I'm not being tracked via iris scans.
It'll be nice for the Apple users that some flash (the forbidden fruit in their case) can be translated or rewritten into HTML5. Your move, Jobs.
That'd be about 60 songs, fortunately
I highly doubt that they'll allow me to store my 70GB of music on one of their servers....

I just got the same email. I hope to JEEBUS that they're telling the truth.

Because we know that Google has the guts to be controversial and do this, while Apple probably wouldn't.
Whiiiiiiich is exactly why I use chrome.
Who wants to bet that the Japanese will make some kind of game show out of this?

I thought nano meant, like, really small i.e. nanometers....this thing sounds pretty large, for calling it nano...
