I think the modifications I did were encoding related and to fix wrapping of very long lines. (I sent some of those changes back to the author at the time). If I ever get around to double checking those changes are decently implemented, I'll share those as well.
You poor old computer? My octo-core Bulldozer FX 8150 can't keep up with flash. Of course, flash uses just one core, but it should be more than enough to get decent FPS on silly flash games.
Yeah, but doesn't running windows consume a lot more power than running OSX or GNU/Linux? Especially with all that fancy aero stuff, etc, etc. My laptop had windows out-of-the-box. With Linux I get abotu 25% more battery duration, which basically translates to 25% energy savings. Windows+IE pushed me the wrong way.
That's just what I came here to say. Device locking (due to theft) can be done at boot-time.
Have the hardware expose the means only to LOCK the phone, and you're done; no matter what OS, it can still be locked when lost (assuming the OS supports it), and can never be unlocked, since you can no longer install any OS, os even boot the existing one.
I agree. I've bought and sold several of used macbooks online. Each time, we met at a cafe, and the buyer had plenty of time to try it out, etc. I can't think someone stupid enough to give me a fat chunk of cash without wanting to verify what I'm selling them.
The only people I see downloading this are sysadmins with access to servers/pcs/clusters with extra free space. No home user is going to give up a full 2TB disc just for some usless data that MAY be useful some day.

After getting some feedback on this usage of mine, and algo after seeing some other comments here, here are some hightlights:
+ IMAP takes care of the sincronization across devices.
+ There's a client for every device out there: the email client.
+ Achieving, deleting, marking as read/unread, flagging, all supported through IMAP as well.
Maybe rather than a web-based interface, this needs an email based interface (sort of like mailing lists).
I replaced it ages ago, with a simple python script croned every 15 minutes. It picks up new entries to my feeds, and emails them to me. Sieve filters those emails into a different mailbox, so I've a special mailbox which is basically entries for my rss feeds.
I don't know why I've never made a web interface for that, it might become pretty popular.:P
While he has no right to claim it his own, neither does the new maintainer, and the new maintainer is actually pretending to be the author of something he is not. That's illegal pretty much everywhere, even if you sign over all related rights.
Lots of non-expensive-brand PCs have "FreeDOS" installed; that should count as free software, right? What about those PCs that come with nothing preinstalled?
Do you realize the thousands (probably millons) of morons upload photos to facebook and then delete them. Facebook isn't their backup, it's their only copy of everything. Because they assume facebook will always be there. The dissapearance of this button has locked them in a great deal more!
According to these mockups, all the sizes are pixel-based. One would think that with hidpi displays already coming out (including retina), they'be be designing vector-based and some unit relative to font-size or something.
Yeah, nice going making a new look and feel that you carry over across OSs. But how about respecting the look and feel the user chose? You know, on gnome, use gnome-like tabs, and gnome-like menus. On plain linux, try and see if the user configured gtk or qt with some theme, and use that. On KDE, use KDE's theme, etc...
It looks like firefox worries more about branding these days than it does about OS integration. Sure, we love firefox, but why don't you make it more integrated into our everyday lives, instead of making it stick out so much? We already have Chrome for that!
Most of the games I'm interested in worked fine day-0 on wine. These include Mass Effect 3, Torchlight 2, and several other big titles. I know not all games work perfect, but the truth is, most do.

Someone could create a clone. I'm curious as to why that hasn't happened. Probably no interested developers.

If whomever hired him is the copyright owner, then the new maintanier should not place his own name on the work; it's not his intelectual property.
His best shot is contacting the person who hired him to do the job in the first place, and informing him of the situation.
