you can't end a sentence with a preposition, but it's very legal to end it with a prepositional phrase. So "sentences shouldn't end with prepositions" is very legitimate, as you would think. "with prepositions": that's a prepositional phrase. With, to, etc. those are prepositions.
That reminds me of the lawsuit that Robert Smigel, the creator of Triumph the Insult Comic Dog from Conan O'Brien, had against pets.com. Smigel said pets.com copied his trademarked dog puppet. Pets.com countersued saying that Smigel had tarnished the 'loving and sweet' pets.com sockpuppet by comparing it to the 'lewd and disgusting' insult comic dog. Talk about ridiculous revenge lawsuits.
But, I don't think this case is a 'revenge' lawsuit, since etoy existed way before eToys did.
The bandwidth has nothing to do with latency. Even if it were going at the speed of light, there'd be latency issues when going halfway around the globe. 7 ms, as you suggest, is faster than it would take light to travel the same distance.
600 million dollars is not such a big loss when you consider sony's size. 200 million is a huge loss when you consider segs's size. When you also take into account that sega has been losing money the past 4 years, the fact that sony's loss was three times that of sega doesn't mean anything. That certainly did not deserve a five.
Mini DVD's are part of the standard DVD spec. There is no reason why it should be hard for someone with a DVD burner to get them, especially when dvd burners are more common. Look at the new Sony Mavica camera. It uses a mini-CDR. You can use it on any computer.
Sega is bleeding money. They have been for the past four years, despite your valid point about the quality and popularity of it's products. Considering that the dreamcast is already old tech, I think you can be sure that sega is near it's peak. If they're losing money now despite the above, they will almost certainly go under. That's why sega's being counted out. You've a misconception that is very common, that because a company has a good product, it will do well and it's stock will go up. But you have to consider it's profitability. It's pretty clear that sega's hanging by a thin thread.
If the game really were only 20 Hz what good do the extra frames do? If I were playing at 20 fps shouldn't it not affect my skill, only the pleasantness of the game?
I completely agree with what you're saying, but I ought to warn you to be wary of the big N's promises. They said the exact same thing about the N64, that they're for quality not quantity. They did manage to make all their first party games of high quality, but it's clear that their promis wasn't fulfilled. Considering Nintendo's track record, I also would expect to have an Xbox before I have a Gamecube.
Well, the double sided dvd-roms wouldn't be used unless it was necessary. I don't see how flipping a DVD will break the lid any more than taking a DVD out and putting a second one in would. But I do agree that the size should be larger.
That's the reason why even though the universe is completely deterministic, we can never calculate the future based on it. You'd need a computer the size of the universe, calculating for the entire period of the universe to calculate what's next. In other words the universe is a computer calculating it's own future.
The specific heat of water is very high(or low, I forget). That means it takes a long time for the temperature to change. So it could heat up while not being in the path of Jupiter, and retain its heat for a while, while it is being blocked. That's why the ocean is colder in june that it is in september. In september it has the heat from the entire summer, and in june it didn't have enought time to heat up yet.
The Big Bang is not a complete theory for the creation of the universe. It is merely a collection of physical evidence and some creative ideas, which everyone recognizes as incomplete. Just because it is incomplete though, doesn't mean it's wrong. I am willing to accept that I don't know where the universe came from, and that my theories are incomplete. It's better than trying to explain the universe, without an explanaton. See, by saying God created the universe all you are saying is that "the universe came about in some way, from some person, neither of which do I presume to understand." That's not an explanation, that's simply a reiteration of the problem.
You are such a fool. Civilization has only been around for about 6000 years. Give it a bit more time before you start deciding what's possible or not. Eventually we will have spaceships of tremendous size and will be just like planets to it's inhabitants. They will have normal lives, except their planet will be headed straight instead of in circles. So let's say within 10,000 years we send out five colonies. Three survive and prosper on other planets. Rinse and repeat. After about a million years or so we should colonize the galaxy. The universe has been around at least fifteen billion years. Put things into perspective. Interstellar space travel will happen, it's a fact. Whether or not humans, or their progeny, will have a part in it is up for debate.
Take a look at the dreamcasts specs and then compare the graphics to a PCs. Consoles have clearly shown that having a closed architecture can effectively double the performance of a similarly configured PC. So the X-Box will have considerably better graphics than a PC.

You're an idiot. He meant how many lines did you audit to determine that there is no 'malware code' in it. You're such an ass.
No it's not a cliche. The cliche goes "If you're not a part of the solution, you're a part of the precipitate."
The bandwidth has nothing to do with latency. Even if it were going at the speed of light, there'd be latency issues when going halfway around the globe. 7 ms, as you suggest, is faster than it would take light to travel the same distance.
That's 0D text. 1D text would be like morse code, a series of dashes and dots or whatever, all linear.
You're the numbnuts; that was obviously a joke.
Why do you have to be so fucking condescending???
Isaac Asimov makes that assertion in his book Asimov On Numbers. It's really an excellent book.

You are an idiot. I didn't say it the first time though, asshole.

Umm, Ice isn't slippery when it's billions of miles from the sun. The only time ice is slippery is when it's near the freezing/melting point.
What's Iron Chef?
